  1. I am having this problem when accessing maps from my Motorola Droid. The previous map version wasn't totally perfect on the Droid, but it was usable. The beta version only shows the caches; now when I touch a cache icon (the equivalent of a click) nothing happens. Previously, this would bring up the cache page. The official geocaching app for the Droid has a mapping capability too, but that seems to have other problems. All in all, the new maps seem like a big step backward.

    MyFinds PQ

Tried it again today, it's working now.

    MyFinds PQ

Weird, I was able to generate a My Finds PQ quickly and when I uploaded it to itsnotaboutthenumbers.com it generated the stats just as fast. However, when I pasted the HTML into my profile page I found that it shows nothing - just headings for the items I picked, but no data. Is this just because of server overload, or is something else wrong? I haven't had this happen before, and had not tried to upload the PQ results since before the GC website upgrade. Coincidence?
  4. I also just bought a Droid and, based on comments on this and other forums, the first apps I downloaded were Radar and Geobeagle. Haven't had a chance to actually try caching with it yet. Has anyone found other useful apps for the Droid for caching or other GPS related uses? Thanks!
  5. Just stumbled on these and was inspired to add a couple of new ones for 2008 (with a bit of a New England twist and much help from Mr Kestrel and Daughter Kestrel): O Little Cache in Lexington O little cache in Lexington, How clever is thy hide. A micro in an old stone wall, All seekers are defied. Yet through thy dark recesses, I'll shine my new flashlight; Unless a muggle happens by, I'll sign the log tonight. While Cachers Sought Their Swag by Night (sung to the tune of "While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night") While cachers sought their swag by night, Across the snowy ground, They raised their lamps above their heads, And firetacks shone around. They feared they would not solve the clues, With greatly troubled mind, But then glad tidings rang about, As they heard "I made the find!" Happy Holidays one and all!
  6. How about this one: On your transatlantic flight, you turn on your movie screen's map feature and (for a nanosecond) are mildly surprised when you don't see little treasure chest icons along the flight path? (...not that this ever happened to anyone )
  7. Totally agree with the original post...Thanks Groundspeak, the site seems to be going blazingly fast now!
  8. Oops...I also submitted a ticket for the same issue, after looking at the troubleshooting section and not seeing anything about account access problems...is there any way to UN-submit a ticket or close it with a "Newbie who didn't read the Forums first" designation (in my case anyway)? Thanks to the Groundspeak staff who are working on this, and to everyone who published helpful links further down in this topic. Hope everything will be back and humming soon.
