  1. I've been using a GPS III+ for finding caches (14 so far I think), so I'd imagine the V would work (think it's WAAS enabled too) though if it eats batteries like my III+ you'll want something else (I got a yellow etrex and geko 201 on the way). If you wanted to you could probably get a yellow Etrex H and use it for the final leg of the cache and the GPS V for the getting to the parking area.
  2. You have a price in mind? If not. I would like to start the haggling at $40 shipped.
  3. Can you tell me what version firmware is on it? You can find it by pressing the UP and PAGE keys while turning the unit on. Thanks -Nick
  4. I use one w/ cachemate. I do have to turn off the hotsync manager when I go to hook up my gps otherwise it wont work. other than that it works fine.
  5. I use a GPS III Plus I use GSAK to upload waypoints. Then press menu till I see waypoints, select it and at the waypoint page hit goto and then you can choose one by name or nearest. The manual will explain most of that but its pretty easy if you just play around with it.
  6. I use the same type of cable. You gotta have the driver. Do a google for "usb to serial driver" and dig around some. I can't remember where I got mine last time I installed it, but I'll look this evening after I get home and see if I can find it again, if you don't find it first. I do remember last time I got it it was a really small file and I found it through google via some forums. found it, try this one. http://www.dvdr9.nl/driver.zip
