I see that in my setup options i can make my altimeter auto adjust. How does this work? And how is it doing it? Is it a good idea to leave this on,,,, even if I adjust it myself ,, say,, twice a month at local survey disks?

Most of the time, my accuaracy and view of satellites is good. I have taken the time to atop at differnt points on a big hill, and still sometimes is it off by hundreds of feet,,,. A second Question...... My Vista has a barimetric pressure elevation, AND a satellite elevation,,, which would be better to use?

I have an etrex Vista, and have very speratic, and wild elevation readings. It seems to be off as much as 500 feet at times,,,, or, i will walk WAY down a hill, and it wont even change more than like 10 feet.

I am wondering if any of the first few screens on my Vista can be cusomized?... Not just my name and info, but a graphic or something,,, or just getting rid of all the beggining screens,, I hate waiting and clicking through them. Like this???
