  1. Thanks for the info! I will definitely try one
  2. Also, what is a good but free app if this used gps decides to die on me? I have an android phone and a tablet that downloads some apps
  3. Explorist 100. I found the basic instructions online, but I am not a techy person so its going to take awhile and playing with it to figure it all out. It sounds like it will do the badic things I need from it, coordinates, marking and keeping specific places, etc. Pretty basic, but free so I'm not complaining, just scratching my head at some features
  4. I haven't used one part of the premium membership that was given to me. I haven't said or done anything. Just stop
  5. That's not true. I said enough, please stop
  6. This isn't funny. And I am not elitist or a bully. What is this, high school? Enough
  7. If it is I couldn't find a way. Oh well
  8. Just got a used Magellan Explorist (no idea what model) is there a good webpage or site for these? How to use, is it any good for geocaching? I had to give my son back his gps unit, which was real easy to use
  9. Just got a Magellan Explorist from a friend. I am going to have to look up instructions online for basic use, but was wondering if anyone knows if its any good for geocaching. It looks pretty basic
  10. Is there a way to ignore a cacher so I stop seeing them in lists, etc?
  11. Thank you for the gift, whomever gave it.
  12. When you don't have the money, you don't have it. I'm glad the one person above can afford the '8 cents a day' but I can't. I recently looked up 'caches near you' and saw one person had over 21 hid, premium only. This is supposed to be enjoyable and fun. When a person has problems getting around at all due to being disabled, the fact that there are so many caches so close by, but unavailable to me or anyone else too poor to afford it, it does feel unfair. Sorry it offended anyone
  13. I live in Ocotillo, CA, and there are several caches near me. But I can't afford the premium membership that most of them require you have to find them. That doesn't seem fair to me. I am disabled and have a hard enough time finding the free ones. Most I can't because of terrain. Most people who hide caches and are premium members have both premium and free to find caches. That's great and I'm sure others like me also greatly appreciate that. But some cachers have nothing but premium only caches, and that seems incredibly unfair. It took me months to save up the money to buy a trackable and the items for my first cache. If I could afford premium membership I would, but I can't
  14. Thank you all so very much! I will look into all of the suggestions
  15. I had just started Geocaching the end of last year, and know the basics (have a few finds logged), but have badly hurt my knee and now only have limited mobility. What caches should I try to find now? Is there a way to refine search results for terrain? I am unable to walk without a crutch/walker/help like that and cannot traverse hills or very rocky terrain. Any ideas, suggestions? I badly want to get back to Geocaching
