I would love a cool avatar. I'm a teacher, a Texas A&M Aggie, and a geocacher. Let your imagination run wild. Thanks -
Is there a secret greeting of cachers?
aggiejwp replied to KJcachers's topic in General geocaching topics
I say "Hey are you geocachers?" Normally I get a response. -
There's more than two. Pastors Series, Eat My Dust, Where else?

I was listening the Cachers of the round table talk about cache series. I was wondering if you know of any cache series that are huger than the ones that we have in Texas. We have two 100 series caches here, I was wondering if anyone has anything different in their state.

Haven't seen a big one yet?

i'm still trying to understand this game

Have to put that at 5 Star in difficulty then.

I did. Today. I went to the other side of town trying to go through a shortcut. Whichwasn't on my GPS. Blah.

Today I visited a cache in which there were three TB's that were in the cache. I wasn't aware they were at the time, but I had a quick thought that I would tkae the 3 TB's from the cache and bring the three tomorrow that I have at home that have been in my possession for more than two weeks. I know that I have been in need of getting rid of those TB's lately, and felt like this was a sure answer. I am a TB freak and don't want to create a culture that I am a bad GC'er. What do you think, crew?

My friend that got me in the game informed me that he was about to publish a geocache and even told me how it would work referencing other caches he was basically using his for. Being a mystery cache, i knew how it was going to be set up, but didn't know the actual content of the cache until it was published. I don't consider myself a cheater. Especially since it's been 3 months since I was first to find.

I bring my dog along, She has a weird instinct if we are within about 10 feet from the cache and I can't find it, she'll nose it and I'll see it. It's happened 3 or 4 times. Pretty cool when it does

How long should you wait 4 others to log TB's?
aggiejwp replied to TWARAKS's topic in General geocaching topics
I would send him the complementary email, just because that's protocol for this game, but then I would log that I found it somewhere other than the cache and just jump them in line. Some people just forget that they grabbed the TB's or forgot that they logged them. -
What is the longest stage for a multi stage cache?
aggiejwp replied to aggiejwp's topic in General geocaching topics
my idea is too make it a cache that you wouldn't even have to get out of the car for. You would drive around, find the place, count up something, added to the next waypoint. Then do the same over and over again, for twelve steps... I could call it "The 40 dollar AA meeting" meaning the 12 steps and the 40 dollars worth of gas. I know that GC purists will hate this idea, but I hate purists -
What is the longest stage for a multi stage cache?
aggiejwp replied to aggiejwp's topic in General geocaching topics
If the stages are virtual stages then there is no maintenance. Two of the long multis I did were like that. That's what I was thinking, making the first 11 steps all virtual and the final cache be an actual container -
I'm considering just creating a TB Hotel as a way to get rid of them. I know that with the school year starting, my geocaching will drop considerably. What's yalls thought

Looking for love in all the wrong places.....
