Desert(B)Rats

We're trying to get more people trading by leaving things we find to be COOL--best of all is custom-designed (Leatherman logo) patches embroidered by a special lady I know.(thredworks.com)I'm also trying custom keychains, etc. that I enjoy making myself.

We usually try to leave something of equal significance. Hard not to keep items with the kids helping. We keep odd coins for the collector, almost every time. One of our favorite things to leave was origami paper cranes for peace until we started seeing less conflict in Iraq. We save the custom embroidered Geocache patches (see thredworks.com) for really good finds--or if we're first, we leave them behind for second.
