  1. I will have to do that one. It is only 11 miles from my house!
  2. about how long do you think it takes a cacher to log a find after a cache has been published? I ask because 1.5 hours after my first cache was published it was found.(I got a favorite point too!)
  3. I once found a small glass bottle labeled poison. It actually ended up being Victorian age and worth 50 bucks!
  4. Good luck! Just don't post any DNFs. Don't even post a note. In fact, delete this thread. The reviewers deserve time off during the holidays - even if Jeremy told them to archive every "lonely" cache they hear about. Geez. I hope he doesn't DNF this cache that I hid in NC, and hasn't been found since 2012. Nope too far away. The owner is still active so I emailed them about it.
  5. I am in NC. I suspect that it has just been forgotten. The last log was a successful find. Where I live there about 50 caches within 5 miles of me. There is one park a mile from my house that has 10
  6. I am going after a couple of caches in my neighborhood that haven't been found in 2 years. The last log is from November 2012.
  7. I tested it as Scrabblers suggested and found that if it is placed right side up that it did not leak when held submerged for 3 minutes. When it is lid side down however it leaks within 5 seconds.
  8. I was wondering if this would be an appropriate container, and if so what size would it be. http://s741.photobucket.com/user/EriNC88/Mobile%20Uploads/story
  9. I am using the app on iphone 4. I did find another cache today! I think I am just going to have to leave the turtle ones alone. Almost all of the ones the app shows me are micro. I have tried looking up others but only one was not micro.
  10. The ones I am having the most trouble with are GC13KF7-Turtle Tower(which is 400 feet from my dorm room), and GC1K2ZT- Turtle Stadium. The one I found was GC25E60-UNCG Micro-cosm. I just posted a needs maintenance, but there had already been one placed. I am using the Geocaching Intro app.
  11. Hello, I just started caching on Friday. I am a college student and have found that there are multiple caches on campus. I found my first one today (it was empty). My problem is figuring out how to use the intro app to locate a cache. I have gotten to 30 feet, but there is absolutely nowhere around to hide it(all grassy area). Another one I tried The app suddenly jumped from 150 feet to 250, and there was no alternate route to get there. Can anyone help me? I have watched the videos multiple times, and am still confused.
