  1. Okay...I guess my first comment did not fall under the topic discussed, so I will delete it. If one of our caches is missing and a cacher has made the effort to find it, we allow them to log the cache. We appreciate knowing the cache is gone so we can get out and replace it.
  2. We have a DeLorme PN-60 for sale for $250.00. Includes the PN-Series 12-volt Power Cable and rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery. Like new condition.
  3. We have a question about the matrix and changing diff/terr ratings. If we have our matrix completed and a CO changes a rating on a cache that we have only 1 of, will we find an empty box the next time we download our data? Is there any way to prove that we found the cache when it had a different rating? Or is there a way to maintain the ratings in our data so they don't get changed when we run the matrix. We appreciate that you have such a good discussion going in your forum. I don't think we will ever qualify for a fizzy cache with some of the rules, but it feels great to know that we are well rounded cachers....almost. And that is what it really is all about. A lot of cachers are only after the numbers. They don't know what they are missing.
  4. Did anybody notice that the last three numbers on the first set appear to be larger than the others. Is this meaningful, or just part of the casting process? Haven't found any sunken ships at those coordinates.
  5. You might take a look at the TITAN II series in Kansas. A total of 19 caches with a drive of about 400 miles to get all of them. The cacher used decon containers and a fairly consistent approach to the hides...so it made it easy for the hunters to find the cache. He posted a number in the logbook of each cache and when a cacher has all the numbers he has to compute the final location. It took us almost a month to get to all the caches since we didn't make it a top priority, but it was a great feeling to find the final target.
  6. We use sulphur to ward off chiggers. It comes in a yellow powder and we put it into an old sock (one without holes) and pat it against our socks, pant legs and shoes before heading off into any grassy areas. I don't use it any higher on my body than pant legs. It will leave a powdery residue on your pants which will brush off easily. We are convinced that it helps. It's certainly worth a try.
  7. Have you been able to put this together? It sounds great.

    daVinci coins

We were fortunate to get the last set of daVinci coins...they arrived today. I read the forum postings and found that I have just about caught up with those posted hints. But, I am certain that everybody is much further along by now. Does anybody even know what we are trying to solve for??? This is going to be interesting.
