  1. I used to be able to send cache coordinates right from a cache page to my GPSmap60CSx. I haven't been active in a few years and I want to start up again. My new computer doesn't see my gps and Garmin doesn't seem to support it with Garmin Express. Any help appreciated.
  2. I have a Golden Retreiver and love dogs. However, your dog means nothing to me. Sorry. I always wonder about people that spend a ton on geocoins honoring their dead pets too. I'm sure they loved them but I think it's a bit presumptious to think that anyone else gives a hoot.
  3. You are not alone. I'm sure the owners are very proud of their handiwork though. I'm not that easily impressed. I hate sifting through them looking for pathtags or something else of interest.
  4. Nonsense! I'm sure I followed an advertising link on a geocaching.com sidebar to one of the vendors that let you provide the tags. Yes I have found some. They all seem to provide the tags with purchase of the stickers. Maybe I'll just make my own stickers. I've seen the magnetic one's also but I'm afraid someone would walk off with it. I don't want to take it off and put it back on for events. I want it on full time. No, we're not allowed to post commercial links here in the TB forum. I'm sure you're letting this drift off-topic but...Read guideline #8 carefully. "8. Commerciality and postings with a larger agenda: It is Groundspeak's desire to maintain forums for the purpose of promoting the activity of geocaching and GPS usage. As a result, we intend to limit forum discussions that promote a commercial, social, political or charitable agenda insofar as the agenda does not reasonably relate to the activity of geocaching and GPS usage. Therefore, threads or posts perceived to have been made with the intent of promoting any of the above agendas will not be permitted. Please note that our Volunteer Forum Moderators are authorized to exercise their discretion in providing some reasonable latitude for forum discussion postings relating to local events and issues in local discussion forums. Notwithstanding the above, Groundspeak reserves the right to include or permit the inclusion of limited commercial content in this forum, in its sole discretion." So if the link pertains to a licensed vendor of Travel Bug Stickers It should be allowed at Groundspeaks discretion. If there is another guidline I missed PM me instead of posting it in this topic please. We don't post commercial links in these travel bug forums without prior permission from Groundspeak. If you are the vendor, doing so without getting permission is considered theft of services. There was one person who, at one time, had permission and it was removed. The TB forums are not for commercial purposes. They are for the purpose of discussing Travel Bugs and their travels. Google is your friend if you are looking for this item. Or, simple go have your own made, you have to get a TB tag with it anyway, make your own, in your own style. Just don't make them to sell without Groundspeak's permission, and without reading the logo usage guidelines. Thank you for your clarification. As previously stated I had used a popular search engine that shall remain nameless to find them. Most provide the tags as part of the deal. So I'll try this again. If anyone knows who makes these stickers where the purchaser provides the tags, please contact me by e-mail so as not to upset the proverbial apple cart.

  7. If they do respond they may need the tracking number to correctly place it in the cache you found it in if they forgot it. You may have to wait a few days or so for an answer if the cacher is on a trip and doesn't have access to the internet and not logged it yet. Otherwise just grab it from somewhere else and move it along. No big deal. Keep the tracking number handy if you let it go and put it on your watchlist for a while.
  8. Since you have already logged it you can visit your log and look for the button in the upper right hand side that says upload photos.
  9. Would you post a link to where you bought it from? I've been looking to do the same thing. I have a set of tags coming so I'm looking for a place that will let me supply the tracking numbers. Thanks!
  10. Glock 19 concealed. Or Ruger Super Redhawk .44 mag when not concealled.
  11. Neat idea, but it's placement might get it pulled during a CITO... Not likely. It's in a JUNKYARD!! LOL
  12. I call mine Helen. As is Helen Keller. The blind leading the blind so to speak. Or, it also has got me to Helen back.
  13. Here is one of my favorite nano/micro size containers. I've made them in several sizes. This particular one is a galvanized finish. They can be painted to match the surroundings or rusty. A in the insert is a 1/2-13 nut with a 3/8x1/8 rare earth magnet fixed to it with JB Weld. The JB Weld is "puddled" to cover the complete magnet and provide a somewhat flat sutface to glue an o-ring to. B is the 1/2-13 threaded rod bored out so that a standard nano log will fit. This photo is not the actual location for this cache.
  14. I agree 100%. Do people that like to do Headstone Rubbings need to be banned from cemeteries also? LOL
  15. Can you seriously compare tripping and falling, bad driving, or any of these other things to placing something into a game atmosphere to confuse another, when the end result next time could be their life? As someone who trained for years as an electrician, and has seen the effects of what a body looks like when it burns from the inside out, I think the common sense needs to lay with the hider as well as the finder. If the hider is smart enough to protect those who aren't then the game will be better for all. Common sense isn't a factor when a large portion of the community are after a smiley. The ends justifies the means. As someone trained as an electrician you must realize that all electrical hardware must conform to a code. Any junction box that has current strong enough to harm a human being must be designed to open with a tool. If you can open the enclosure by hand with no tools it is safe to open.
  16. I would say it's up to you if you want to share your work with your brother. You obviously have doubts so do the next best thing...ask the cache owner. Let him/her make the decision for you.
  17. Better hurry. I just picked up FIVE MORE yesterday. Mwaahaahaaa (and no...they won't be like YOUR nano in the woods series)
  18. That's how I carry mine as well. I just stuck it in a piece of clay to stand it up while taking a picture of it.
  19. My armchair gets incredibly good millage... I hardly notice it, what type do you drive... You might not notice it but how about the rest of the family?
  20. Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda all make a great line of bikes to fit your size and experience. Check out a few motorcycle forums like the one I hang out at. www.thesabrehood.org. You have to look pretty hard or be very lucky to find a deal on a Harley. They are way overpriced.
  21. Don't think about buying a motorcycle...just do it. Then you can grin from ear to ear as you are having the time of your life while someone else is sitting at home too afraid to enjoy life. I get almost 50 mpg with mine but that's not why I bought it. It's just plain fun!!! You can also get some great deals on used bikes that have hardly been ridden. Lot's of nice folks buy one and ride it for a couple thousand miles then the novelty wears off and the resale is not so great. GO FOR IT!!!
  22. I don't know about you but my fingers just aren't as nimble as they used to be and rolling up those tiny logs takes longer than finding the cache sometimes. So I came up with handy little log winder/retriever. You can use it to pull out the log and rewind it so it fits back in with ease. I made it from a standard paperclip. Just straighten it out and bend it in half. The I just wraped the bent end with a strip of duct tape. Insert the end of the log between the two ends of the paperclip and twirl the winder to make a nice tight log. Slip it off the end and back into the container.
  23. palm T/X GSAK Cachemate All new and just recently loaded with caches. I have no interest in Wherigo.
