  1. If you search on ebay, you might find one that matches it. I found one that kind of fits your description, but has 4 or 5 planes on it. It also mentions that they will do engravings on it. Thight might be why it doesn't have any tracking numbers. Hope that helps.
  2. If anyone needs any TB to travel from Tulsa, Oklahoma area to Colorado, I will be heading that way in about 28+ hours from now. I'm not in the contest, but would be happy to take a few out there.
  3. Anyone know if posting the Jeep contest pictures is allowed here? Thanks, geo-jenkins
  4. I onced took a TB from Cache A, and placed it into Cache B on the same day, and when I went to log it that evening, it was already showing up as being in a Cache C, by someone else. Their note even said 'this should have been in Cache A'. I would probably wait a few days to log a TB if it was somewhere where it wasn't thought to be. But the longer the wait, the more chance that the same thing will happen again - especially with geocoins traveling more frequently then other TBs. In my case, I ended up just 'discovring' the coin. That seemed the most logical choice.
  5. Since I'm fairly new to geocaching, I don't think I have the experience to state whether there or more geocoins now than whenever. Does an OP have the ability perform a massive query to see how many geocoins are hidden? I realize it would be theoretical, as some coins still say they are in a cache, but they are not actually there. Which brings me to a question - How does a geocoin get marked as missing? Is it the responsibility of the geo-coin ower? I have tried to add a note in the cache log if the inventory is different than what I find it.
  6. Thanks, everyone for the advice. I wasn't the only one that 'dropped' a coin into the event - just the first (FTD, I guess) Lots of others did the same, and I ended up discovering 25 coins at the event. Worked out really well!
  7. Thanks, that sounds good enough for me. I'll go ahead and log it into the event.
  8. I will be attending an event in a couple of days, and would like to offer one of my geocoins as one that can be discovered by others that will be attending. Since I am not the one that is organizing the event, I was wondering how I go about doing this. Am I allowed to 'drop' a geocoin at an event without me being the owner. Then I assume I would just remove it after the event. I hope I can get this answered in fairly soon as the event seems like a significant accomplishment, and I think it would be my way to acknowledge the individuals. Thanks,
  9. Wow, I sure hope this is an isolated response. This is a bit excissive in my opinion. #1, There are only 8000 Jeeps, so surely there arent 40000 posts. #2, I would imagine there are a lot of geocachers that have never released any TBs, like myself, and just want to do the right thing to ensure the TB is activated. #3, There are a lot of NEW geocachers that are probably not familar with Groundspeak.com vs geocaching.com I too had a problem with my Jeep. Or at least I thought it was a problem. I went to the geocaching.com website, and tried to enter in my code. The response that I got back was "invalid code". Since that is the same site I use to track the other TBs I have found, I had no reason to think that it would not have worked. When I received the invalid code, I assume it was not yet activated - like everyone else has, I imagine. Thanks to wolfpackcrue for having the diligence to find a correct solution for everyone that was having the same problem that I had. The great thing about forums & posts - If you don't want to read them, you don't have to. It's really a choice for everyone. I don't think it's necessary to "get something of your chest" to people that you don't even know. If you don't like the particular thread, don't read it.
  10. I tried to look mine up again, and the code is still not activated. Should I try to activate it myself?
  11. I just got my RJTB today. No other instructions or anything. I tried to search for it, but it appears that it's not activated yet. Since I'm kinda new to releasing TBs, I had a question... Do I create a personal cache to start this one off at that location, and then move it to a different cache? I'm actually planning on traveling about 120 miles on July 1, so I'd like to get it going then. Also, does anyone know if drop & grabs are allowed? It would be even better if I did a drop and grab 120 miles away, and then let it ride back for the return trip. Thanks,
