  1. Can we volunteer for a specific time period to visit caches when volunteering? Say one was planning on flying a kite up on Mt St Helens, but they had to go when their permit was bought for (say the weekend of Sept 1st... just hypothetically speaking of course) Also, when volunteering, should we state where we hope to take the little critter? I've a few ideas of where I would want to visit for such a challenge, but not sure whether I'm suppose to provide that info... Wicked challenge! EDIT TO NOTE: I answered my own question by reading the rules more closely
  2. Try hard as I might, I couldn't come up with a single thing that I've done for the geocaching community that could even come close to what geocaching has done for me, and in turn my family. Sooooo... just in case coreynjoey miss this or somehow fail to come up with any creative ways they've helped the geo-community, I'd like to chime in on their behalf. For as intolerable as I can be, I can be equally (or even more so) shy. I drove my sorry self all the way down to CA for GW and I'm pretty sure had it not been for them, I would have sat about in the parking lot all day. At very least, I would have gotten a whole lot more caching done! Two of the nicest, easy going, easy to hang out with cachers I've ever met and they really helped make my GW a great time! Also, they release *tons* (with emphasis on *tons*) of geocoins locally. Who better to receive a special geocoin than those who are kind enough to spend the cash on that extra coin every order so they can send one out for the rest of us to discover when we crack that ammo can. So, if it were ME handing out those coins, coreynjoey would get two of them... one for them to keep and one for them to set free! But, hey, the handle's 'intolerable', not 'wicked smart'
  3. As TMA points out, its sounds like the PayPal policy is different though and it probably really is worth looking into...
  4. I'd like to see them in gold also! I still am really looking forward to antique silver though!
  5. I haven't done Ring of Fire, but if you haven't tried Tunnel of Light, I'd give that a spin.
  6. Only my opinion, but I couldn't agree more with TMA.
  7. I agree with the above too Geocoins might get me flying out the door, but FTF is enough all on its own, especially if the cache is challenging in some way. Coffee cards are nice too. A nice alternative to that one might be a gas card with whatever you were planning on putting on the coffee card.
  8. Unactivated geocoins send me flying out the door... my son (age 5) loves the geocoins too and while he's not always enthusiastic about chasing down a FTF, if there's a coin waiting, he's ready to go in a flash.
  9. I tried to find some today, but alas, none to be found anywhere I went. I've noticed they haven't been at the Redmond Target for a while now and couldn't find them on the Target website.
  10. The pictures didn't help! They just made me want to buy all of them even more Thanks much for posting the pictures. These are just beautiful!
  11. I'd really appreciate this also. I can probably order only one and I'd like to be able to tell which I am ordering Great coins!
  12. Stephanoceras humphriesianum thanks for the cointest
  13. http://geocoin.se/order.html
  14. Great! Thanks for the info. Its a beautiful set and I love the history. I would be very disappointed if I missed out!
  15. Anyone know if these will be available after pre-sale? Or how long the pre-sale goes on for? These are must haves for me, but unfortunately find myself presently in a position where 'must have geocoin' simply can't carry as much weight as it did a day or two ago Any info appreciated (or I suppose I can just email the vendor This is just so much easier)
  16. It looks like it could be that they cut/paste from the above html (the Swedish Moose) and missed removing the bit about the moose on the back.
  17. Looks like the Phantom Cacher is on the move again! GC101KZ Oddly enough, it looks like he encountered The Shadow coin, and right after I thought someone was referring to the Phantom Cacher coin when they meant the Shadow!
