I just came back from a week in Egypt staying in Dahab. I completed three traditional caches and one Earthcache. I think you will be OK if you are sensible. Some of the more remote caches it may be wise to take a guide, or go in a group. Take plenty of water and I think it would be wise to let someone know where you are going. I found some trackables in the caches, and all of them were present at the right location. I found Geocaching in Egypt fun and a great experience. I reccomend Mount Sinai, two caches and a fantastic place.
