  1. Then it's probably conflicting parameters. Try it with minimal selection criteria first and see what you get. got it...thanks for all the help..... i did this first and then went in and ran one with my parameters...dont know what happened but its working now.... look out caches this weekend...i am back in the saddle....lol..... thanks for all the help everyone...this is why i love this forum.....my jeep forum is a pain anymore...but this one is such a pleasure to look around... see ya out there!
  2. My advice would be that unless you have one heck of a good reason to use a paid email service, you ought to use one of the 'free' ones. This recommendation BTW has not a single thing to do with geocaching. wow i cant believe how many people responded to this...and how quick..thanks for the replies...i am headed over to try one more time before pulling hair out.....im takin all the suggestions and running with it.. to be more specific with the problem though...it is telling me pocket query run but with no results...... more to come if this works...thanks for all the help so far...!!! : )
  3. alright......been out of the game for almost 2 months because of either work or the heat has drove me away my problem/question is...whats up with my pocket queries?!?!?!?!..its starting to tick me off....the first day my premium membership was active i did a query and it worked fantastic...i loaded it in GCSAK and put it on my palm i got from ebay since then...i haev tried about 5 different days/times to make another query to update my palm so we can get out and go caching but after checking the query criteria over and over and over and over *get the point* it ALWAYS returns no caches... is there something i am doing wrong? or is there something wrong with the system?.....i wanna get back into the caching business this weekend and its going to be disappointing to not be able to go paperless...which is why i pay for the membership to begin with any and ALL help is appreciated.. thanks in advance EDIT!!!::::: its only been a month....not 2...lol...i looked at my last found and it says july 16th.....sorry for the wrong numbers....just seems like forever......starting to get an itch for some cachin..lol
  4. WHOO HOO..premium membership is good to go... i didnt know that the paypal email was the one that would have the info in it...thats a different email account than i use for geocaching.com.. cool..im off to try and figure out the pocket queries... wish me luck!
  5. Search the threads. There is already tons of advice on PQs and paperless caching! yeah ive been reading alot on the pocket queries there is a TON of info on it.. i still didnt get an email with a code in it...must be cause its the weekend or something......i guess i will just have to wait on it......
  6. hey all.. just payed for my premium 1 year membership...how long till that takes effect on the webpage to let me use the extra features...??? i have been playing with GSAK and i bought a cheap palm zire 31 from ebay and put cachemate on it.. we figured its time to start gettin serious about this caching business..lol......we wanted to go to the monthly breakfast last weekend but had to work......you will see us there next time....Lord willing the creek dont rise... i am very excited about using the pocket queries.....sounds so much easier than waht i was doing with writing EVERYTHING down thanks in advance....
  7. pretty new here but thought i would add my .02 to this convo..might be too late..lol we have a garmin nuvi 350 that we had prior to caching and it is FANTASTIC for road nav.....when we started caching we had already dumped $380 bucks on the brand new nuvi *a good deal mind you cause most places sell them for 499+*...the 60 series garmin handheld caught my eye...BUT for money sake we went out and got the lil yellow garmin etrex the basic model one and it works just fine for caching.....we normally use the nuvi to get us close as the etrex has no base map then when its trail time or urban caching time whatever....we bust out the etrex... hasnt been too far off yet and for 80 bucks brand new it gets good reception in the woods.....and if i drop it i wont cry too much cause it wasnt that expensive and its waterproof keep in mind this is the opinion of a newb with only 10 caches found and experience with only these 2 gpsr mentioned..lol
