  1. I was in for a year, didn't make it past Tenderfoot. My son and I are in our second year of Cubscouts. He's working on his Bear patch. Last year he won the Pack 828 Pinewood Derby. I think I'm having more fun at it than he is.
  2. Everything you mentioned sure makes it easier. The maps cd is great because it shows all the side streets. I saw Garmin DC power cords at Target for 8.99 with the phone accessories.
  3. I would consider the 50cal ammo can( 6inW 7.5inH 12inD)to be the standard container. The 30cal can is the same H and D but 3.5W. All other containers are for places that these wont fit.
  4. I've had my Mer. Plat. in three different cars plus my 13 ton service truck and the Plat. always read the same or 1mph less on the open road. As for tire size or speedo gears changing the reading, I got a ticket for doing 66 in a 55 but I knew I was doing 60. Took car to speedo shop and sure enough, it was off 10%. The judge let me off with court costs.
  5. I agree, ammo cans are the best. Better check with land manager before using one though, our county park dist. just OK'D caches, but is concerned about the use of ammo cans. P.S. My friend uses them for long term cigar storage, as for me, I smokem as soon as I get them. Cigars, not ammo cans.
  6. Does it come with any xtra goodies?
  7. I don't use a counter, but I think you can get one at the KeenPeople site.
  8. I love my mini-mag 2AAcell flashlite. I've carried the same flashlite for almost 20yrs. {the black paint is almost worn off} and use it daily at work. Off the job I carry a Eveready squeeze lite. If I wanted a beam lite for nite caching I would use a 2 or 3 cell D batt Mag-lite. If you want it for protection, get the 4 cell.
  9. I like to go to any of the "Dollar" stores to find trading stuff, Play-Doh, toys, modeling clay, gadgets, anything I find interesting or kids would like. I am working on a signature item, a laser cut token with my avatar or something on it.
  10. My brother caches by bike often, sometimes logging 30+ miles in a day! I think he's nuts, to each there own.
  11. I have a friend who just bought a laser for engraving. We are working on a sig item for me. The laser will work on any smooth service, flat or curved.
  12. I'm a service tech for refrigerated trucks/trailers. During the summer I do some on week nites, but mostly on weekends.
  13. I feel inadequate now, I only have a 32mb card. 16mb will cover the Great state of Ohio. Like the others have said, for a few dollars more the 128mb may be the best value.
  14. I agree with Wadcutter, a bomb could look like anything. There is nothing better than a genuine US military surplus ammo can, you pick the size.
  15. Every hole in the wall becomes a great place to hide a micro.
  16. If I spent as much time caching as I do forum trolling, I might break 50 someday.
  17. WUSDABUZZ, is the i3600 unit in color? Please give us a review after you are familiar with it. If battery life is short, use rechargables. Thanks
  18. Count me in. Ernst T. Bass would covet one of these rocks. You know Ernst, from Mayberry.
  19. I'd carry if I could, but Ohio is not a CC state YET. I would carry for wild dogs, snakes and park perverts.
  20. I'm a Bullseye shooter and also shoot air pistol. RK, you should try air pistol. You can shoot in the house and it will really improve your trigger control. Shooting and caching are alike in several ways, non-players want to regulate them for one.
