The forecast here was calling for freezing rain today, all day, so I went to a air pistol match instead, which I won thank you. One brave soul found one of my caches though, does that count?

The wife has big plans for me working around the house but I'm sure I'll be able to sneak out and find at least one. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it. My goal for the year is to find at least one a week.

Can't think of a better way to spend my birthday, well actually I can but I'll help out anyway. One of my first caches was a CITO event way back last May.

I use Post-it notes cut to fit for micros. I find all kinds of interesting note books at the local close-out store, Big Lots.

I have 9 acct. watching one of my caches. I take it as a compliment. Imagine, 9 people think this cache is so good they're watching it.

I like leaving interesting items more than taking things. Sometimes something will get my attention that I'll trade for. Here lately I like moving travel bugs.

I think the approver in my area does a great job. I sent one in yesterday around noon and it was ok'd late that evening.

There's a YAHOO group called Magellan Meridian which may help you with your GPS. Hope this helps.

I would recommend one with up-loadable maps. Most of the caches I hunt are urban and the detailed map sure makes it easy getting there. My GPS is a Magellan Platnium. It all comes down to how much you want to spend for the extras. As one of my race car buddies says " speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?"

For New Year's Eve the only cache I'll be hunting will be in the pot of our annual poker game. JS, for your 50th you may consider Caesers Darkside(GCACEE). I haven't done it yet but I hear it's fun. It's best done at dusk and you'll need a flashlite. I just did my 50th at the Harding Cabin event last weekend. Good luck

I like themed caches but I haven't seen any I would call bizarre. Some that come to mind are Halloween, Christmas, colors one red- one green and my own, a military themed cache( toy vehicles etc.). I like seeing some of strange items people trade that are still related to the theme.

Team K-9, that is NOT stupid. I ussually leave shorter logs at the cache and add to it on the cache page. Sometimes you can't leave long logs for fear of being spotted. I try to tell of the journey or something humorous that happened along the way. I don't like to leave TNLNSL Thanks logs except once, the skeeters were eating me alive just opening the box.
