YESSSSS !!!! THX !!!! SD card removed and the GPS fires up as before. (stragely enough I installed this new card set on the internal memory but maybe the previous was on the card and caused a conflict... )

Since April I am the proud owner and happy user of the Oregon 400t. Shortly after the purchase I updated the software and added the belgian topo map to the Oregon. No poblems encountered since, no soft upgrade since. Today I added the topo map of the Netherlands. I tried this before and at that time everything was fine (I removed this map afterwards because I only occasionaly need it when on holidays). For info, both topo maps taken together make 166MB and 289 card parts). After the installation of this new mapset, the Oregon does not function. If not attached to a pc the start up routine stalls at the "loading maps" part, if attached to a pc it stalls once all Waypoints, Routes and Trip log info is saved. I tried a master reset : no effect. I also tried the "forced USB mass storage mode" as described in the wiki but without effect. The Oregon does not show up on the pc as an extra drive. I hope somebody can help... We are leaving for holidays in a few days.
