  1. As I said before, great job on the new maps. But after a bit of playing around I had a thought: It's taking quite a bit of time to load caches in dense areas (e.g. San Francisco), and thus panning around is very slow. is it possible to add a button that when pressed will "Hide All/show all caches in an area" in addition to the Hide/show individual styles of caches? The function of this button would be to turn off ALL searches and list generations as to make it easier to pan around and not have to wait for loading. As it stands now, if I turn off viewing all 10 styles of caches, the list of caches is still generated and takes a good bit of time to load in dense areas. Can something like this be done?

    Kudos!

Nice job with the google map upgrades. When the first upgrades were released a few weeks ago I was having issues, but you guys have really listened and hit a home run. I do have some minor freezing issues but that’s likely because I have been playing around a lot and maxing out searches. I especially like being able to see disabled caches right on the map. Keep up the good work.
  3. I like GSAK a lot. All the stats I have require the use of the GSAK program and 2 macros. I'd be glad to e mail you a quick walk through on how to generate the stats. The GSAK program also has tools to help organize your hunt but I use it strictly for the stat program. The maps are the traditional maps with red shading but in addition it states the number you have found in each state right on the map. there are also maps for canada, europe, and the world.
  4. The flaws aside...I think the new map style is very stylish and I can't wait to start using it. Any idea when it will be put back for full time use? And of the flaws reported, what can we expect to see fixed and what is out of the programmers hands? Keep up the good work!!!
  5. PROS: - Looks very nice - Like the ability to identify a cache by putting your mouse on it - Ability to remove found and places caches CONS: - Text Size...TOO BIG - When I scroll along a route the map freezes - 15 mile max is AWFUL for remote areas. Can you make it a 15 mile max IF the program detects more than x# of caches in an given area? Can you add: - the ability to remove NOT found caches (so I can see either all my found, or all my placed caches) - the ability to see ONLY a specific users caches would be a GREAT feature and as I write this I see they have reverted back to the old map style
  6. here's my issue with the new mapping...it freezes up quite often while scrolling around , and it won't show caches if you're zoomed out to an area larger than 15 miles. with the old version I could zoom out way far and see all the caches in a remote area. I can't do this anymore. I do like that you can see all the caches in a populated area without limits...as long as you're zoomed out no farther than 15 miles
  7. I would like to search for caches by a particular member and be able to view the results on google maps. I can build a pocket query of my own hides and view only my hides on a map, but I can't do it with other members caches. is there any way of doing this?
