They may be in Seattle but not Tacoma.
Still nothing here.

Great! Thanks for the help!

For me it's the incredible stuff that I find in the "members only" caches.
In one members-only cache I found a $100 bill! In another I found a Garmin 60c which I use as my main GPS now. It's amazing how much more generous everyone is when it comes to these members-only caches. I know I am.
I usually just put the McJunk in the regular caches but I save the good stuff for the members caches. Last week I placed a bag containing 25 different unactivated geocoins in a members-only cache! A few months ago, I left some tickets to a Seahawks game in another one!
Well worth the $30 for this perk alone!

I used the Legend for a year before getting the 60c. While I thought the Legend was great while we used it, I now find if hard to go back to using the Legend. The color screens have MUCH better contrast than the Legend screen. I am glad we kept the Legend as a backup unit but my eyes thanked me for going to a color unit.

We are coming from the Seattle area and will be in the Marietta/North Atlanta area for a few days. We'd like to do some caches while we are there.
Any must-not-miss caches in this area?
Thank you for any ideas.

Gotta disagree here.
We have two units--Legend and the 60C. On both units, when it is raining, reception is worse than if it is a clear day.
Yep, I've read here on this forum again and again that weather doesn't affect reception but it does. We've been geocaching for three years both in the rain and in the sun and we can always see the difference in reception.

Not only is this a great looking coin, it's the BEST packaging job I have seen on a coin, yet! My three coins were triple packaged!
My hat's off to crake!

My wife says that size doesn't matter.

Anyone know if all the Anthus Firefighter coins were shipped from the coin store, yet? According to this thread, these were shipped about a week and half ago.
We haven't received ours, but I see that they have been selling on ebay for several days.

We are having technical difficulties trying to activate our 2006 Mississippi & 2006 Scotland geocoin.. Can someone please point us in the correct direction..
On the Mississippi coin we plugged in the MS# @ geocoinclub and received and error message..
LM
Same thing here. I went to geocoinclub.com/code.php as it says on the coin packaging of the Mississippi coin. When I plugged in the code, I got a message that says the coin does not exist in their system.

I just purchased three. Apparently, a few are being sold early. The sale only "dropped" for a few minutes.

Hadn't looked at geocoins on egay in a while, but tonight I looked and saw a ton of coins that had no bids on them. I guess many of the completest have realized it is a loosing battle. Props to all those who sold their coins when the market was strong.
Simply supply and demand. It goes in cycles. Next week demand might be up again.

Oops! Gone now!

5 minutes and some are still available.

I've had MANY TB's kept by other cachers for 2-3 months before releasing them back into the wild so I would let it go for much more than three weeks.
Remember that not everyone gets out caching every weekend. The last time I picked up a coin I had it for about a month because I wanted to make sure I put it back into a cache that was "worthy" of a geocoin.

Each with it's own icon?

Howdy, all...
I received an empty padded white envelope today with a slit down the side and nothing inside. The return address is not one I'm familiar with, and there was no name as the return sender... It's from Moore, OK 73160. Does anybody know who this might be? Postage paid was $0.63, so it was probably only one coin.
Since I don't have the address in my Coin Trading folder, I'm guessing it's somebody I purchased a coin from. If anybody knows a coin trader in that area, could you let me know? Perhaps it will jog my memory on a trade I owe or something.
Thanks for your help...
Chris
It was me.
I sent you a USA geocoin and you were supposed to send me a Moun10bike coin in return. Don't tell me that you are going to try to weasel out of our deal just because my coin got lost.
I still expect that Moun10bike coin.

I think McToys are fine.
We have cached with families with small children and sometimes the kids are tickled pink when they get to pick out a McToy from a cache.
Whenever we pick up a McToy from a happy meal we save it still wrapped for the next cache.

56) If there is one pile of doodoo in a 100 acre park, you will find a way to step in it.

I think a lot of the urban caches are being watched by cachers who live nearby and want to know when a cool travel bug or coin is dropped off in the cache so they can make a quick grab.
The rural caches are watched because many of these are the more challenging caches and cachers want to hear about other cachers' struggles to find them!
-
Just my experience but after having placed caches both in urban areas and way out in rural areas, the caches in the rural areas don't get "cleaned out" as much.
My guess is that with the easy, drive-by, urban cache you get more caching newbies finding it. These people haven't yet learned to trade up.
Rural caches that might require a hike to get to are usually frequented by more experienced cachers who have learned the rules and have learned to respect the game more.
That being said, sometimes either kind of cache gets cleaned out. People are people after all.

Gotta agree with this. I believe the best strategy here would be "don't buy it!"
