  1. US topo is just called Topo, but be forewarned it doesn't autoroute (I understand that Topo Canada does autoroute). Older copies of the Topo should start showing up on eBay as a newer version is either released or will be released soon, and topo is unlocked. Okay, bear with me, I'm still learning. I haven't discovered how to autoroute yet, and what does "unlocked" mean? But thanks for the info on the name, I'll keep my eyes open!
  2. Waddell is 31 and Crain (me) is 30 and the Crain kids are 3 & 5. The people who got me started on geocaching were in their 50's I think.
  3. To me "kid friendly" means my 3 and 5 year olds can do it. They can hike for a long time, no problem. The problems arise when that hike is through 4 feet of thorn grass - to me that's not "kid friendly". My guys can hike for hours, up rocks, over hills, you name it, but that long bushwacking stuff full of thorns - nope. It seems to hit them right in the eyes and face.
  4. I have the mapsource Canadian version, but we travel a lot in the US and would like to get our hands on a copy of that one! We have the TOPO Canada version, not sure what the US equivilent is to that. Thanks
