  1. Ahhh... did you actually click on the linked waypoint code?
  2. I think it has nothing to do with geocaching.
  3. Hi Debi13, Thank you for your cache submission. I only see one cache by you in the queue. Your cache, "She BANGS !!!"!, is being reviewed by cache-tech. Please look at your cache page for cache-tech's comments regarding the status of this listing. These comments would also have been sent to you via email. Now... had this been a MercRocks cache, well.. that is a topic for another entire thread!!! :-) Cache-Advance Geocaching.com Volunteer Cache Reviewer
  4. Hi nomaddante, Just include the new coordinates in a note and post it to the cache page itself as a log (use "Write Note" type log. I have just added the cache to my watch list and will take care of it for you. Cache-Advance Geocaching.com Admin
  5. Should you wish to make changes to the cache location, the first step would be to temporarily disable the cache. This function is controlled by the cache owner and does not involve intervention of geocaching.com administrators. I see you have taken this step and this should be sufficient to prevent cachers from inadvertently seeking your cache while you work on refining the cache coordinates. You will only be able to adjust the coordinates of your cache by a total of 0.1 miles change. A change of greater than 0.1 miles will require your cache be reapproved and as such, you will not be able to make these changes yourself. However, this is easily done by simply sending me the new coordinates via email and I will make the adjustments for you. Cache-Advance Geocaching.com Admin

  8. Try this: http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/map.cgi It superimposes your gpx file on top of about half a dozen different NRCan base maps/topos as well as CanImage orthophotos. The resulting map is in displayed in Adobe SVG format (you need the plug-in) which allows you to link directly from the waypoints to the cache page as well as move the waypoints if you wish. You can even adjust the opacity of the base map after it is displayed. Very cool... and FREE! One thing though, it maps based on the bounds of the dispersion of the waypoints in the file. You should prune your gpx file first to show only the points you want, thus giving you a more detailed resultant image. Cache-Advance Geocaching.com Admin
  9. As local cachers will be taking over maintenance of this cache, it is very important to let cache seekers know this fact so they know who to contact should a problem arise. Normally they would contact the cache owner, which will likely not be appropriate in this case. We ask you do two things prior to the cache being unarchived. Please have the cache owner modify the cache description to include reference to the fact that you (the local cacher) should be contacted should any future problem with the cache arise (need maintenance, gone missing, log book full, etc). Also, please post a note to the cache page yourself indicating you (the local cacher) are now the caretaker. This will alert those on the watch list the cache is back in the game. Thank you for taking the time and effort to adopt the cache. I am sure your local cachers, the cache owner, and future visitors to Victoria will be pleased. Please email me when these notes have been made and I will see to it your adopted cache is unarchived as soon as possible. Cache-Advance Geocaching.com Admin
  10. Jimmyjames, The Admins of this website recognize your desire to discuss matters that involve private cache hunts, your exploits and similar events that may be of interest to a select number of local geocachers. Unfortunately, we believe that these events are not in the interest of the general geocaching community. Alternative means of continuing your discussions have been recommended in previous threads which you have participated in. Once again, we encourage you use the Private Topic features of this Forum to continue your discussion. For further clarification, please refer to the Groundspeak forum posting guidelines. Private Discussions: Sometimes, a discussion thread strays off into a friendly dialogue or a heated debate among a very small number of users. For these exchanges, use the private discussion feature that is provided through the Groundspeak forums, or the Geocaching.com e-mail system. Public forum posts should be reserved for matters of interest to the general community. Cache-Advance Geocaching.com Admin

This forum topic relates to a private cache event not listed on geocaching.com. Although the owners of this website encourage and promote other areas of geocaching, we do not think it appropriate to use Groundspeak resources for promoting those private events. If we may suggest, the participants may wish use a 'Private Topic' thread feature (which Groundspeak freely makes available) to all participants for the continuation of this topic and all future similar events. This thread is now closed. Thank you for your cooperation. Cache-Advance Geocaching.com Admin
