You cache in the rain? WOW!

OK, you get a large tank and fill it with boiling porrige and hide it up in a tree above the cache. Then bury a long pipe with a spring loaded spear under the cache. A motion sensor sets the both traps off. I have always found that a few gallons of stuff over my head and a spear in the butt stopped me doing naughty things. Should work just as well in this situation. Don't 'but me no buts'! Work out the details for yourself. I'm just the 'ideas guy'!!!

A possible problem is that the cache thief is also reading the forum to see what we come up with!

Hee-hee-heeeeeee! It ALL means the same thing? Soda, pop, sofa, couch, non-cachers - ALL of those terms mean muggles? LOL, so a muggle is a non-cacher who has been carbonated and is OK to sit on. There ye go - no more to say really..... Sounds fine to me.

Perhaps a set of photographs would help? I always have gone back to a cache a few days after placing it. I could have taken two or three digital pics, say, one with the cache in the space where it goes, one as the rock/bark/whatever is placed to hide it and then one from a few yards back. Laminate the pics or even just tape them into a plastic bag and no one has any excuse except for pure ignorance.....

One thing that SEEMS to help is to get the best lock that you can before you enter the tree cover. I don't think it makes any technical sense but, somehow, it seems easier to KEEP a lock under the trees than it is to GET A LOCK. Comments anyone?
