  1. The author of the article told me that the cache will be listed on gc.com within the next few days.
  2. There's a new article in the Adventure section of today's Tacoma News Tribune. Unfortunately, I can't find an online version to share with you, but the article is pretty well written. Local cachers mentioned in the article include El Pepino, GEMs, Jagsound, Jeremy (of course), and a couple of cachers mentioned by their real names only. I got started in caching almost 4 years ago now due to an article in the TNT. We've come a long way, baby!
  3. May 21 would be better for me. I may have to work May 14, 28, every other week, etc.
  4. One other thing to keep in mind is if you put in something that is worth $1.00 and the other person puts in something worth 99 cents, they will see that as basically "even"; then multiply this by many times and you get cache degradation. It happens, it's not necessarily malicious. Also, I know of many cachers that put things into caches and do not take anything out--they don't advertise their actions in a log, however. As a cache owner, you pretty much have to accept that you will need to re-stock the cache every once in a while. If you don't want disappointment, put in a few "good" items as prizes for the first few finders, and fill the rest up with McToys, because that's how it will end up eventually. Cheers!
  5. Congrats to evergreenhiker! on reaching 2300 on my latest cache today: Ceder Butt (spelling intended) And congrats to cache ahead on #600 on the same trip! Way to go!
  6. Last year I got the WA/OR recreation pass, which is $20 more than the Golden Eagle pass I usually get..I found that I did not visit State Parks often enough to justify the added fee, so will just get the Golden Eagle this year. National Parks, Forest Service Trailhead parking, National Wildlife Refuges, etc. Plus the WDFW pass for $12.
  7. I doubt that you'll get any stamps in the passport for Canada. They'd probably just look at it and hand it back to you. (Hey, Canada's not THAT foreign).
  8. I've got it on my calendar...Look forward to meeting you and yours in person!
  9. Thanks!!!! PQ's arriving as I type..Excellent.. LindaLu
  10. Hey folks, Paypal renewed my subscription on 3/8/05 but now my charter membership has been taken away. What's going on here? I want my pocket queries!!! I sent a message to contact@Groundspeak.com.... We are not amused. I will delete this topic when this has been rectified. LindaLu
  11. Congrats to kitelady who recently posted #400 on The Milton Triangle!
  12. At this point my only comment (yet) is that I don't like the green around the edge. I much prefer the uncolored edge (like the 2004 coin) and any color in the middle of the coin.
  13. I think it is probably time for voting. I'm kind of curious though, I've noticed that there are some Ory-gunians putting their 2 cents in, are we going to limit the voting to Washingtonians? Just curious, I am definitely not trying to stir up any tempests!....
  14. Yeah, so very close... oh well, it was fun! I'll be there Sat. at 2pm for the Quack team for #500!

  16. I'd be interested. I feel I'm just scratching the surface of GSAK's capabilities..
  17. Hi! I was one of the lucky two to get one of these coins at the WSGA Party -- so cool, thanks! I'm having trouble logging it at travelertags.com (which is what's printed on the coin), send me an email to my geocaching email if you can help me.. Thanks again for the neat geo-coin!
  18. Welcome New Cachers! If you are in the Puget Sound area and would like to meet lots of other cachers, come to the WSGA Holiday Party in Woodinville on Wednesday: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...29-9a5126a195a2 and see also the other forum thread on it....
  19. Hi Clyde-- When exporting to mapsource, it won't automatically open the mapsource program because I have it on my D drive. Is there some place I can go to insert the correct path for it to look for software? Thanks for a great program!
  20. Wish I could come, gotta work Saturday... Please take care you guys...
  21. Hi I'm LindaLu and I've logged ~most~ of my DNF's (hey, I'm human, sometimes my pride gets in the way...) Here's a two-part question for you all: Have you ever given up on a cache, and how many DNFs did it take for you to get to that point?
  22. This year I'm thankful for: LIFE LIBERTY and the pursuit of GEOCACHES....
