  1. I just discovered this today as well. I haven't had a bookmark list over 100 before (added for a challenge cache). On http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.a...99-7c2e262dbf1a, I have 110 bookmarks. If I select "50", I get 3 pages of caches and can view the entire list. If I select 100, I can view 2 pages of bookmarks (all of them) If I select 150 or 200, I see only 1 page listed, and 100 caches are visible. The remaining 10 are not accessible. Observed using firefox 3.6.3 and Windows 7.
  2. However, that would require each and every cache visitor to have a bug already. Otherwise the cache says they aren't allowed to move it. If all caches had this restriction, you would have to buy a bug in order to start moving them.
  3. Or you could let them fix the problem... Based on my non-limited experience to make an educated guess, the system you're talking about re-writing is non-trivial. Spatial data querying is harsh on databases.
  4. Additional info: not just "My Finds". It is in all of my pocket queries.
  5. I can report the same problem. I went to update GSAK on a different system than normal because I forgot to do an update and found that 'my finds' wasn't registering. In the gpx file, there are no logs, causing GSAK not to identify my finds. Requested around 10:00 pm pacific time. Email timestamp of the first pocket query is 10:02 pm.
  6. I'd do it, but I doubt a local reviewer is really needed here. mtn-man has our area covered, and I doubt my cat would like me sending treats to the puppymonster.
  7. If you don't like how the ref is calling the game, get a helmet and whistle and go out on the ice yourself. Its a volunteer job.
  8. or the coin hasn't been activated yet.....
  9. i've posted a NM "cache is gone" once and was wrong. I found a spot that was really close to 0m and exactly matched the given clue. Although, i've gotten a few "cache is gone" on the second stage of one of my puzzle/multi caches, but its been there on each visit.
  10. This thread is still running? 26 pages, 50 comments per page is 1300 comments... Without going back through all 26 pages and making this into a hockey analogy, the ref blew the whistle and called a penalty. On review, the league supported the original call. Correct or not, the ref made the call. Drop the puck and carry on.
  11. Hey I'm from Kelowna but we cache in Kamloops a lot. Which ones were you trying to find? Also there's a local geocaching group that meets regularly. You can find them at www.interiorgeocaching.com If you're ever in the Kelowna area give me a shout and myself and LordEd can show you the ropes.
  12. We have the Garmin Oregon 300 and absolutely LOVE it. No more paper

    HELP!

Have you tried looking under your Points of Interest (POI) file? We have the 210. Make sure you rename the manually entered location too or else you'll only see POI001 POI002 (for example). I usually use a part of the cache name that will be easy to remember which is which.

  15. One other observation. I don't have a previous newsletter to verify, but I believe I was previously getting distance units in km. The current one seems to be in miles.
  16. Additional Info (if relevant): - Received and viewed the email at gmail.com - Event and mega-event links seem to work fine. Email forwarded.
  17. Recieved an HTML newsletter today. Looks good, but there is a problem with the recent cache links on my edition: Recent Geocaches... * Black Mountain Wetland (Traditional Cache) on 26 September 2009 by Canada4Life. 2.62 mi SE. Links reported are: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC1GAMD and http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=95...66-11ae829302c1 However, this cache is actually GC1Z4EB (the newsletter links to a cache in arizona) and the user profile reports that it doesn't exist (actual is http://www.geocaching.com/profile/Default....0-61baf9cf79c3). I tested several cache links and all of the ones I sampled are mixed up (wound up in the netherlands on one).
  18. GC148JW - I sleep with the fishes.
  19. good point. My normal programming scope is canada/US. Have to remember geocaching.com is a bit wider than that. Ignore previous.
  20. This is just something very simple. I found on the pocket query form, if i entered a postal code in the format v1x7l8 (no space in middle), it says "not in the database", but is valid if i enter the space. I think a few lines of code would add a tiny bit of extra usability: // auto postal correction guess if (txtPostalCode.length == 6) { txtPostalCode.text = txtPostalCode.text.insert(3, " "); } ? Obviously not a high priority, but if you happen to be in that block of code one day...
  21. ...I bet you'd love to try. Spreading the database across a couple of 10-drive 15k RPM RAID 1+0 drive arrays and adding a few TB (terabytes, not travel bugs) of memory would work wonders.
  22. Woohoo! I rank 19398! hehe along with about 30 other people at 573 finds.
  23. LOL All of our trips have caching in them now! We're even doing some on our cruise to Alaska.
  24. LOL I still do that when we go up the forestry roads. Sometimes the backroads mapbook isn't that clear.
