  1. I am based in the UK. My geocaching tool of use is a Nokia 6680 cellphone. I would prefer the new Nokia N95 but funds prohibit that at $795! Mine is only $60 on ebay, and the phone is about the same: $60. There are various software options for these phones that are variably configurable and downloaded direct off the internet. I have personally tried using some GPS systems that are dedicated for SATNAV use and found that Navicore is the best of breed SATNAV category. However, geocaching is a slightly different order for it, yet it is useful enough to find the caches. The best geocaching software I have come across so far is the Viewranger. Price is dear. Too dear. Has anyone found anything software that is Purpose designed for geocaching to install on Nokia Symbian series 2/3 cellphones?
  2. Reccomend a Nokia 6600 series or E61/E70 series with GlobalSat SirfIII chipset, N70 or best of all Nokia N95 which have gps system built in. The others are brilliant little pieces of hardware that have an Operating System onboard like a PDA called Symbian. Software is available for Geocaching from Viewranger.com. GPS units are available from NAVICOREtech.com and others. Stay in touch and get online info on the move and real-time updates from GPS unit. PAPERLESS! Cheap! Accurate (To 2 meters/6 Feet).
  3. Have you considered a mobile/cell phone that has the symbian operating system on it? It's just a matter of installing software on it and buying a GPS receiver unit for $30 or less. Ebay is a ood start area for that.
