  1. Yes, works under Konqueror 3.03, Thanks for the new feature, but only 10 allowed had the wife all upset
  2. Don't need premium membership to get a avatar thingy. Just gotta have a nice picture of the Jeep that I like. Oh, and I wanna know, is the winner from "flyover country"?
  3. Nike said it best, "Just Do IT" Or, are you looking for something other than just encouragement?
  4. Hmm, yeah, Caching with our 3 kids is great, too bad the wife thinks I am the 4th kid.
  5. http://www.geocaching.com/my/owned.aspx Or click My Cache Page -> (Mine)
  6. Hooray for you! Your first DNF! Here's to more, sprinkled in with some spectacular finds. Yeah, 2 DNF and 5 finds today
  7. Mark it as a waypoint and head there first. I mark all caches by their GC ID in my GPSr, so I will have: GCABCD - 0 for a parking spot listed GCABCD for a single location cache GCABCD - 1 for the first of a multi GCABCD - 2 for the second etc......
  8. I would say something also. I have the Garmin Rino 120's and a 110. The family can talk and hunt this way. Looking at the 130 since I have another child old enough to use a Rino by herself. Oh, and me and my oldest are going to start making our sticks this weekend, tired of finding a stick in the woods.
  9. What Datum's are they in? What is the accuracy of each receiver?
  10. Yes, I removed food left in mine just last week
  11. Hey, come on out to Oklahoma, the whole family uses Rino's. Helps with the whole family on the same channel.
  12. I am waiting for a reaction currently, I went out in a ice storm to remove food from the cache my kids placed. Would not do good for their moral to have their cache eaten up.
  13. And buy a charger that includes Trickle charge mode if you are an occasional cacher. Just leave batteries in there. Of course, I get upset because I need 3 AA batteries, so I sort of have a odd amount just sitting around. I use the Energizer NiMH, and got some of the 2300 mAh at Christmas for my stocking stuffer. My son uses the Rayovac 15-minute charge models, but he uses the batteries for more than just his GPS. But, we are a 3 GPS family and will soon be a 4 GPS family, all Rino's.
  14. Where I am now: 34 in 5 miles 82 in 10 miles 254 in 25 miles 334 in 50 miles 600 in 100 miles Where I want to move to: 11 in 5 miles 29 in 10 miles 64 in 25 miles 117 in 50 miles 373 in 100 miles Maybe I should think about finding a better place to move to?
  15. Look at this: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...01-8482d147292a That is why I like people to tell what they left.
  16. Just don't put food. I have to run out to my kids cache in the morning and pull out the food that some new cacher put in it.
  17. What cache are you trying to find?
  18. Hmm, I was seeing between 6 and 28 feet of accuracy all day yesterday while I was in the open. Now, under the trees there were times when the man shut off the GPS network to confound me.
  19. Being only an occasional Caching family we (Wife and Myself) cannot think of a reason to pay for the site. There are only 8 caches that I cannot see in 100 miles from my home zip code, and that leaves me with 578 of the 586 remaining caches to find. Of course 36 of the 586 are disabled as of today, but some of those are down for seasonal, maintenance, or owner missing reason. I would agree that if you got something useful for the membership then it might be worthwhile. I liked the idea of getting Travel Bug(s) with your membership. Or even get your Bugs for cheaper as a member. Another idea, you have lots of people who are having problems with posting images, maybe give members a certain amount of photo gallery space with membership. I have plenty of my own space on several different sites that I can use, but there are those who don't have that or don't know how to use it. OT: How about teams of individuals being allowed, you and your friends can compete against others. Of course, its not about the numbers
  20. FoxFire and Opera in Micro$oft, but only because I cannot get Mandrake and GPSr to talk correctly. Konqueror, FoxFire, and Opera in Mandrake.
  21. Yes! Get a PC instead! Yeah, get Micro$oft and get virii, keep Mac and stay safe. Try Google, there are several out there for you.
  22. Assuming you have entered the destination waypoint hit the page button one more time. We have 2 Rino 120's and a Rino 110. Great for family outings. But, I find the Navigation screen to be more helpful when caching than the Map screen. Oh, and I should be getting a Rino 130 with them tax returns. Mmmmm, I love that neutral colored case.
