  1. There seems to be a trend. Some of my queries from last Monday did not show up until Tuesday. Wednesday queries came very sporadically. Thursday queries came super late in the day. Then Sunday queries I only got 1 of 4 yesterday. I have a mole in side Groundspeak. They are well aware of the issue and are working to resolve it.
  2. I have a colorado 300 and have been using the Garmin brand car power cord. I have noticed over the past few months that the connection between the plug and the Garmin is getting looser and looser. I now have to delicately balance the cord on my dash to make sure the connection is maintained. Does anyone else have this happening to them and has this been noticed on any other Garmin models?
  3. So we have all heard the discussions of how a cache in the woods is not trash, but a puzzle piece in the game of geocaching. However, my question is, when a cache is archived and not retrieved by it's owner, does it then become trash? I found an archived cache today, right where it is was planted. The container had been cracked, the contents were all water logged/moldy and gross. The cache was garbage. As a community we go out of our way to cache in/trash out, but when a geocacher does not return to retrieve an archived cache, they are doing nothing less than throwing a bag of trash out their car window as they drive down the highway of life.
  4. 2.95 appears to be a good release. Is there documentation from Garmin on how the multiple .img feature is supposed to work? I loaded and then renamed City Navigator states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho and California each as separate img files. I expected to see in the map selection the ability to turn on or off each state separately. But there is only the single option of City Navigator North America. Which is no different from before. I still see the value of the feature, I just assumed each img would have it's own on/off toggle.
  5. Thanks for all the advise, I am upgrading from 2.92 to 2.95, I tried the 2.94 but got burned bad, like everyone else it sounds like. so I am hesitant to go to 2.95, but it sounds pretty good from other posts. I will delete ALL gpx files and cross my fingers. Thanks again for the help. thebudman
  6. So when they say to "remove all GPX files" does that include the 'current.gpx' and position.gpx' files in the Garmin\gpx\current folder? Or do they mean to remove only my active geocache gpx file(s)?
  7. There's probably other ways to do it, but I use a free program called CacheStats. As a premium member you can get a PQ file of your finds and load the GPX file into CacheStats then have it write you a html file which you can cut and paste on the edit profile page. Cool and the Gang!, Cut and Paste HTML code. That was the part I was missing. Also, I checked out the CacheStats, I like how you can customize what is displayed. I wish there was a way to blend the CacheStats options with the FndStatGen3.gsk macro. Thanks for the quick response.
  8. I have seen user profile pages where under the "Profile Information" section people have added maps of their finds or stats generated from GSAK. How are these items added to a users profile page?
  9. The mapset has tripled in size now from 2.7 MB to 8.1 MB. This becomes a more significant piece of map memory real estate, especially in some older GPS units. Would people prefer to see a smaller area of coverage and/or separate tiles for each state? I would hate to see a "smaller area of coverage" you have done such good work creating this map set, I would hate to some if it dissappear. Creating separate tiles for different areas would allow users to load what they prefer. Perhaps separate, tiles something like: Western Washington, Western Oregon, Eastern WA+North ID+Western Montana, Eastern Oregon+Southern Idaho, Eastern Montana+Wyoming. Anyway, my vote would be for tiles not coverage reduction. thebudman
