  1. My original geocaching name was TheREALBug, because I have a New Beetle. However, SBUX seemed much more appropriate since I am more than obsessed with Starbucks Coffee (ask anyone who really knows me and they'll confirm this). SBUX is the New York Stock Exchange symbol for Starbucks.
  2. I think it's a great idea, stosh! It would be a GREAT tradition to start . . . just like Geo-Woodstock! I look forward to both!
  3. I was on my way to a class on 9/11/01 & I remember my professor being late then showing up crying because she couldn't get in contact w/her son, who was at the Pentagon. Fortunately, he is okay, which cannot be said for so many. It was nice to hear all of the different 9/11 songs yesterday. We won't forget you.

    Group Hunts

I know that group hunting is probably the best geocaching time I've ever had! Especially w/the folks in TN. CCCA & I are enjoying doing more group hunting w/local cachers & some from other states . . . so if you're ever interested, let us know ahead of time.
  5. That's really creepy! Glad I'm not a guy!
  6. Does the cache have the "WOW" factor? And below, I have a link to a cache that definitely DOES have the "WOW" factor, but has a mini cache hidden nearby. [] So, even if it is a neat idea, you can still put a micro/trad. there to bring people to the site. Bridge Mural Cache
  7. I think they should be able to stay as long as they can (and should be maintained by the hider . . . or someone else that agrees to). It's interesting to see how long a cache actually stays in a place.
  8. Cool idea! Next time CCCA & I are in the area we'll have to go find these! They sound like a lot of fun. My brother was just watching this movie the other day (and I couldn't help watching some too).
  9. Congratulations Joe on your 2000th find!!! I wish I could shake your hand right now, but we're separated by MANY miles. I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all you have done for us and others. You are a very kind and hospitable person. I look forward to seeing you again soon Buddy!
  10. CLARIFICATION in order: #1. CCCooperAgency is a husband/wife with 2 small children. #2. The Montana cache in question was NOT deleted by the cache placer BUT by CCCooperAgency themself when they realized that the incorrect waypoint was entered for THAT cache rather than the NJ cache which they DID find that date. A typo can happen to anyone. Hardly fraudulent. This was corrected within 24 hrs. and that is why the MT cache deleted. #3. I've noticed several rude remarks & I too have had similiar dealings with the folks throwing stones at CCCA. It would appear the old adage "takes one to know one" is in order. As far as their gps being "waterproof" I know they cache in all kinds of weather, inclement or otherwise. No need to be 'anal' towards them You're only exposing yourself on that (low)point. #4. As far as numbers, this has been corrected and the guilty party brought to the geocaching administration's attention. Hardly sporting to allow a find for 3 months and then delete it. #5. My life has been personally enriched by them so bug off! (tongue in cheek) Now, enough said - CACHE ON!
