  1. I've had some people ask me about the Dice. I had them made by Chessex (www.chessex.com) They quoted them in about a day, sent me a pic of a proof. I work near their headquarters, so I was able to pick them up the next day. They do them with a laser engraving process.
  2. I'm just starting out, and I wanted a fun sig item, but wasn't ready to go for coins or pathtags. I'm also a gamer, so thought my sig should reflect that. I had a local company do these for me. The nice thing is that they'll fit in a micro cache. The company can also do any size run, so you can even order singles, but the prices go up.
  3. Sorry, I don't think I'm going to be able to make the BAGO bash this time around.
  4. Hi everyone, newbie 'cacher here. I'm in Ft. Wayne. Started playing around once the weather got nice. Hope to cross paths with some of you at some point.
  5. 1st gen iPhone doesn't have GPS, it does have the ability to approximate your location using cel phone towers and wifi hotspots for reference. This works pretty well in urban areas, and can get your location down to a few hundred to a thousand feet. In the country, not so good. I used the Geocaching.com application on my iPhone for paperless caching. I have all the local caches saved as POI's in my GPS. I pull up the list on the iPhone and browse the names and then look at them on my GPS map. I read clues and descriptions and past logs on the phone. This is nice because it's kept me from accidentally going after a few "don't go to this address, solve this puzzle instead" caches that I thought were nearby.
  6. I'm looking for a starter GPS for caching. I've tried using my Visor Deluxe, but it's just not accurate enough once you get close to the cache. I'm short on cash, but I do have the following available to trade: Ipod Mini 4GB, light scratch on face, but works perfectly, has USB & Firewire cables, belt clip. Motherboard & CPU, socket 754 motherboard and Athlon 64 2800+ CPU. Palm M105 PDA - good for paperless caching. Comes with the sync cradle. Visor Deluxe PDA - Also a PalmOS device, but has USB cradle, and springboard slot. I have a GPS card for it, but it's basic and has no base map, just compass and waypoint and route functions. Works fine for finding cache area, but isn't good for precision. Might make a good paperless caching tool, or a 2nd unit for caching with a friend. PM or Email me if interested. I can give references from other trading sites and Ebay.
  7. Arg. Serves me right for only looking at the first part of the date.
  8. Hey, I'd be interested in this trade. I've been looking to swap my iPod mini for a starter GPS for caching. I tried using a Handspring Visor + GPS card, but it's just not accurate enough for caching. You can e-mail or PM me and we can sort out details. It's a silver 4GB iPod Mini. I know I have the firewire cable and charger, and the USB cable. I think I can find the orig box. It does have a hairline scratch across the front. I think the headphones scratched it in the case. It still works great, and the scratch is not really noticible when the backlight is on.
