  1. I heard from trimble support sunday. The problem is on geocaching.com's end. I sure wish they would post on these forums what the status is. Itsvery frustrating since we are on vacation and missing caches
  2. Monday morning. Still not. Sure wish we could get some info
  3. Hi. We have been caching for a couple of years and are a team cacher. (Husband, wife, chihuahua)My father passed away in August leaving behind my mom. They have been married 53 years and she was devastated. She lives 3 houses down in the Poconos and so when we went caching, we invited her along. She fell in love with it and has not missed a cache since. She is in great health, even doing a 4.5 terrain at Christmas! My question is this- we are taking her into Manhattan this weekend for a four day stay,(we come in often) but are trying so hard to keep her busy on this first birthday without dad. Any suggestions for some extra special caches or events this weekendthat would make this birthday great for her? We have done all the empire state, top of rock, etc so thought maybe some special caching? Thank you!
  4. We are just so happy it will return - there is a big gap for us now in keeping up with our pals!
  5. While we wait for our site to be back up and running I have started a facebook group page so we can all stay in touch and keep up with what is going on. Come on out and join us there- http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/gr...115082501851217

  7. I do see that but the button is faded and does not click?
  8. OK, I have spent two hours with cache stats and I need to generate a file of my finds. I get it. I go to pocket queries (I am a premium member) and try and build a query checking the boxs "I have found" and i get nothing. I have read the forums till my eyes ache and you all talk about a my finds button? I must be blind. Can someone PLEASE help me find this?
  9. walnut tripper had a series years ago- all parts were insane. caves, boulder fields, snakes, bears, good grief it was some wicked fun here in pa. The last part was back in the woods. you had to have gotten your co-ords at each of the other parts. No luck at all at the final. We figured we had messed up a number. All of a sudden my husband said oh no- look up. Sure enough. She had hung it up a tree.
  10. Old News - Third Mention Of This Seriously! How dare the OP post this outdated material? Gosh I hope this was said in fun? Are some geocachers so angry at life they need to say something like this? I sure hope not. BTW I had never seen that episode so thanks for the point out!

    Found Caches

OK good thing is that its not just me having a brain attack. I never would have thought of the nearby idea and that is fabulous. Some caches are so hard to scroll through like 287 names. It really would be a nice thing though if there was a found on your cache page- hopefully the folks in charge will consider it. Thank you so much for the help. ps. browsers search function? I didnt realize i could do that without having it take me away. Thanks again. catolee

    Found Caches

OK maybe I have brain freeze but when I am using a cache alon g a route type search for caches, some I know I have already found but when I click on them and brings up the page that you use to log your finds, it would gladly let me log the find again. Gosh I hope someone understands what I mean. But the memory is not that great so when I bring up a cache that seems familiar, I often have to scroll through like 150 entries of logs to find my name and make sure I did indeed find it already. Isnt there a way that is would tell me Ive already found it instead of going through the logs? Thank you. Catolee
  13. From the MGS Forum......1/25/2008 "This is just in the initial planning phase but we have made a commitment to continue to meet with them to offer guidance and assistance. It sounds as if they are interested in doing something similar to the program in Pennsylvania along the http://www.alleghenygeotrail.com." Bingo!!! I cant get this link to work? I live in PA and was interested. Thanks!
  14. Having spent alot of part time living in Manhattan I strongly advise against this expedition. Although it sounds fun and exciting it is in reality very scary and dangerous. There is alot of dark and bad things down there. I will not go on with endless stories, but suffice it to say I honestly would not want to see you go down there. Some places are bettter left alone.
  15. Interstate trucker - household mover. We are a husband wife team so get to geocache all over together!(And with our trucker/ geodog Iggy)
  16. Here in the Poconos of PA the Catolee crew drives a 06 Chevy Cobalt, base model no frills even hand cranked windows!
  17. Thank you for the quick reply! OK, when I am going somewhere else, I will go see if he is still there and take him along. If not he has already moved! Guess the question sounded stupid but I just wanted to be helpful. Thanks again!
  18. I read that there is a unite for diabetes bug near me. I then read all i could on travel bugs and see that they all have little missions- like maybe to go to another country. If I get one that wants to travel far away, can I find another member in that country and mail him to that person? Or is that wrong? I dont want to disrespect the bug. Thanks. Catolee
