  1. What you think of your CUSTOMERS say a lot! Maybe since you do this all the time the question seem dumb or stupid, but if you don’t, like a lot of participates, their question are not stupid and desired answers. If there got too be many participates for you, then you should of shut it off.
  2. Michael and Hans I’m glad in your mind you think this project went well. You got the coins out the door. But that is really all you can say. And yes people are happy with picture and tracking numbers, but your communication with your customer was terrible!!!!!
  3. All of our collection does not all fit in our display cases. What doesn't fit has been lying around here and there, there and there. We decided to make a storage unit for the coins that do not fit in the display case. It has taken awhile but it is finally completed. In case you trying to figure where you may have seen the design before here is a picture of our first coin. The bad news is that is already full.
  4. The Twin Cites event has been published GC3XJPZ.
  5. You do such nice work. I hope we can trade at GCF.
  6. I will be bring Shadow's Friend and some Shadow Birthday coins.
  7. Yes, It was a great to be able to use a templet like that. THANK YOU!
  8. You should first remove the tracking number from you post. You should use the public number when referencing the coin, see above the public numbe for that coin is TB4QV6R. When you log that you retrived the coin, you can add you note.
  9. I would like to introduce our personal coin for 2012, Happy Birthday Shadow. Shadow was going to be 10 years old this year. 10 year is a big deal for a little bunny. The average life span of a rabbit is 7-11 years; A Holland Lop is 5-7 years. So tuning 10 was going to be a major mile stone for Shadow. Shadow had been fighting a case of head tilt since late February. He had been a very brave bunny and put up a very good fight. Unfortunate he has lost this fight this May. Shadow was a fun loving little rabbit. He loved getting treats, watching TV, having cointests and sending out photo cards to brighten people day. He just loved making people happy, and has been planning his birthday party for a long time so cachers could come and enjoy a fun filled day. With all the planning that Shadow had done, we carried on with his party. The event GC3KFFC was very fun, Shadow would have loved it. We played lot of rabbit games, had hot dogs, cake (carrot of course) and ice cream. As with all of our personal coin, we do not sell them, but we do trade. The coin in the middle is the coin we will be trading. The one on the left was given out at his event and the one on the right is special. We will be at GCF 2012 in Colorado for in person trades, let us know and I can set coin aside. If you are unable to attend GCF and would like to trade send us an offer. If you don’t have any trader, send us a line I can point you to a store that has a coin we would like. The coins are trackable and have a custom ICON Here are a couple picture of cachers playing pin the tail on the rabbit, carrot top and thumping.
  10. Yes, they should be deleted. This sound like it could be the same as in this thread Bogus logs
  11. We have nevery had any problems with coins or TB traveling. In the US, I will normaly put my coin box (somewhere around 20 lbs or so) in a seperate tray to go through x-ray as they always need to go though it and if it's in the same tray with my bag belt and shoes, then I can't touch any until the TSA is done with all of it. I have had them look at every coin and some that just flip though and some just use the snifer. Last year in going from London to Germany I started to do the same thing, remove the box to place it by it self, and the person said don't bother, at the other end of the xray the person said he need to inspect the bag. He picked up the bag shaked it and then said good to go. I don't think you will have a problem, unless the TB is something that is normaly phohibited like a knive, gun or liquid over 3 oz. Have fun.

I have caught up on logging and we have some winners!!! Some of the highlights of the vacation (holiday) were: Watching Dorsetgal & GeoDog and Kaz & Coco carry the Olympic torches. We got to fly a barn owl, 2 falcons and go for a walk with a couple of Hawks (we walked they flew). As far as caching: We added two countries, Spain and Gibraltar. We finished the smiley face puzzle we started last year We did 11 icons in 11 hours We did 3 Megas in one week But most of all we meet lots of nice cachers and had lots of fun!!! Ok for the results Question #1 was 3 (number of Mega events) Question #2 was 6 (number of caches with 5’s) Question #3 was 151* (number of caches found) Question #4 was 12 (number of puzzles) * incase anyone checks – We logged 149 caches on GC, but also found one cache that is not listed on GC and one that was archived, that I could not find on GC for a total of 151 caches. Winners #1 - 12 cachers were correct and Maya picked yanagi (post 39) #2 - 7 cachers were correct and Maya picked Hot Pepper Crew (post 23) #3 – The Paslay Family was closest with a guess of 150 (post 20) #4 – 4 cachers were correct and Maya picked seekerfamily (post 16) (Another thing we found out is Maya does not like picking names. That’s just the kind of bird she is. Shadow was much better at it.) Congratulations to the winner – you have an email!
  13. If you are going to go back and edit the log with a picture or a nice story of why you visited that cache the go ahead and visit it. If not why fill the coin page with blank logs?
  14. Thanks drneal! It was fun and it was the only place that I seen any Geocoin trading. There were lots of trading going on else where, but they are not Geocoins.

    Mega CoinTest

Well, I am now at my desk, or I think my desk is under all these papers. So the vacation and cointest must be over. I am a little behind on my logging as we were having too much fun to do any logging. I hope to get caught up on logging by Wednesday. I will then anounce the winners of this cointtest. The only answer I know for sure is that we did 3 Megas in one week. Thanks for all that have taken part in the cointest and I will get back as soon as I know the answers.

We had a very fun Day!!! Not to much caching, but when you have the chance to go for a walk with some of these....... Caching takes a back seat. There are a lot of people with the correct answer for 1. The others we would also be guessing at, at this point.

Well, we are off the rock and getting ready for some fun. Today we did not even find a cache, we had found all that we could find on the rock. And when we landed on this island we had lots of traveling to do before the end of the day. I hope to have a neat picture tomorrow.

    Mega CoinTest

We had another fun day playing on the rock. The weather was nice and sunny and we look like a couple of lobsters. We have been form one end of this country to the other from bottom to top to bottom to top to bottom (some day I will learn how to plan a day of caching). We tried to clean it out but we are going to leave it with one multi that we could not get as we do not have a car and after finding the first two stages we found stage 3 a 1.2 mile walk and after the two day it was a little too much for us. Plus then we read that the CO would not do it on foot. Here is the elevation chart from the last two day. The first climb was by cable car, but the rest was on foot. The rock is much bigger in person on foot. Shadow's Friend and I are not puzzle master by any measure, but we do manage to get a few. We did end up finishing the smiley that we started last year. We also got a few other, and who knows what future will bring. In case your wondering here is a picture of the rock.

    Mega CoinTest

We had a very busy day today. Not what we planed. Due to the wind we were not able to go to Africa. But we moved East and played on a big rock, and we are tired for all the playing (or climbing). I took a picture of the elevations chart and will post later, as it is in the camera in the room and the internet does not work in our room and that is too many stairs after the rock today. Shadow's Friend has been very carefull and has not fallen. All of the Mega that we will be doing on this vacation will be done in one week. Thanks for all the guesses. We are having lots of fun!!!! (edited cause - it posted before I was done.)
  21. We are almost one week into our 2012 Mega vacation. It has been go, go, go.... until today. The wind is a little strong here so it has given us some time to catch up. It has been a great vaction so far, and things are just getting started. This coin test will end when we get home. We have four coins up for this cointest, Still Soaring, Hopalong Shadow, CacheHawk and a CacheOwl. 1. Guess the number of Mega events we will will attend on this vacation. 2. Guess the the number of "5" caches we will find (i.e. if we would find a 5/5 and a 5/1 that would count as 3) 3. Guess the total number of caches we will find. 4. Guess the total number of puzzles we will find. The correct guess from each of the above will win a coin. The winner of 1 will get first choice, 2 will have 2nd, 3 will have 3rd choice and 4 will get the one that is left. You can make guess on all of four parts, but can win only one coin. One submission per person pre 24 hour. Please put all daily guesses in 1 post Edited post are disqualified Cointest will end the day we have to go back to work. If more than one person is correct, Maya will pick the winner from the correct entries. Maya's decisions are final - That the kind of bird she is. A post would look something like.. 1 = 8 2 = 0 3 = 25 4 = 4 Good Luck!
  22. What a great coin!! We got to see a sample. It was also amazing watching her carry the torch. We got lots of pictures we can post some later. Congratulation on such a nice coin and on carrying the torch. Can't wait to get our in hand.
