  1. I have been trying to figure out a winner for the last couple of hours…. I give up. I should of only ask for city/country. So the 4 people that have made guess will each get an AC Hop along Shadow Geocoin. Congratulation: steben6, GATOULIS, Kameharem, and pingos. Thanks for playing Here are the correct answers if you’re interested. 1 = Stonehenge, Amesbury, England GCA68D 2 = Copenhagen, Demark GCR5F6 3 = Lucerne, Switzerland - Did not find a cache by this one 4 = Vaduz, Liechtenstein GCQ1QE 5 = Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands GC2YYE1 6 = Praha, Czech Republic GC6F37 7 = Praha, Czech Republic – No cache - If you look at the bar it say "Budweiser" 8 = Michelmersh, England 9 = Vaduz, Liechtenstein GCQ1QE 10 = Vorarlberg, Austria GC12A1P
  2. I thought this would be done, by now. But I guess a couple of the pictures do not give to much detail. Hint 2. We were at Lake Como, that is where Shadow's Friend took her fall. Shadow would not tease her by placing a picture of that on his card. Bonus hint. We had a great time in Petersburg! We visited and had a pint or two with The Klever Boys. We even did some caching, but Shadow did not include any pictures on his card.
  3. Those were for GC26JK5, The River Thames - Rocks on the River Bed, a very neat earth cache in London. I don't think we had any that were tools, we just grabed random rocks, but that type of rock were used for tools. I would recomend doing that earth cache if you ever near by at the correct time. If your not there at the correct time, you may need scuba gear.
  4. First hint: The picture with the country signs is not in Germany. This was a question from one of the recipient of the card. I hope this helps.
  5. Here is a quick coin test for an AC Hop Along Shadow Geocoin As many of you may know, Shadow likes to send out cards. He has just sent out his latest one. As you can see he has visions of some of the places that we visited on our trip to GCF 2011 EU. To win this coin, be the first person to name the 10 locations. You can name the city or the GC number of the cache that is nearby where the picture was taken. If by Sunday night (Oct 9) no one has named all 10 locations, the first entry with the most correct answers will win the coin. Any post with edits will be ineligible. One post per hour per nick name.
  6. Good thing we live in a digital age!!!
  7. Whats the one on the right? I have five different versions, is there a 6th? shows what I know...i thought this was the only version...ordered it directly from sepp and berta Looks like the Geocoinfest EU 2011 - limitierte Crazy Artist Ed. 5 Versions? I only know 4 - which is the 5th? I know the 3 Event Coins (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and the Crazy Artist. There was an LE Volunteer Coin, I believe only 100 minted. There must be at least six versions of this. I have five different ones of them, including the LE Volunteer coin, and I don't have the one Dr. Neal posted the pic of! I'll try to post pics in the next couple of days. I belive this is the Volunteer version
  8. Our package came in from Europe. Here are the coins we got durning our adventure in Europe.
  9. We have winners!! We had a very good time in our tour of Europe. We seen alot and have 1445 pictures to remember our trip, lots of doors and sidewalks. We meet a lot of nice cachers and traded/talked with a lot of friends from the forum. We experienced some different type of caches, that is the fun of caching outside your normal area. We ate and drank very well. It was just a very FUN time and geocaching did add alot to the enjoyment of the trip. With geocaching it's like having friends where ever you go, recommending places for you to see and visit. There would of been noway we would have found the 2nd oldest pub in London, walked around the country side in so many countries and go to the site of an underwater sculpture. Well now on to the details: We were gone for 24 days. We visited 12 European countries and found 177 caches/event/challenges. (That number may go up or down depending on if I remember any I forgot to log, or if any of the earth caches/virtuals get deleted). But those are the numbers we are using for this cointest. I did not specified whether the number could go over, just the closest. So we are having two winners; one closest under and one closest over. We are also going to award the first person to guess the correct number of countries. The over winner is Quetzall1234 with a guess of 184 in post #400 only 7 finds away. The under winner is Mamoreb with a guess of 167 in post #346 only 10 finds away. The first person with a guess of 12 counties was Serchnsoul in post #326 . Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all who put in a guess.
  10. Yes, We are still logging, I am on Aug 29, only 13 more day to log. I hope to be done by Saturday. Sorry for the delay.
  11. But then you would never know when the coin went missing or not in the cache. With out knowing that a coin/TB should be in a cache, no one would ever post a note that it is not in the cache. This has help me more then once. I was able to go back though the logs and find my coin by emailing some caches and asking if they seen it or picked it up.
  12. We Believe!!!! After getting home, we were cleaning out our caching bag, which we used at GCF EU. We found number 64. It must of been in the bag since GCF EU. Thanks so much it is a very well done coin and will take it place of honor in our collection.
  13. We are home! The adventure is over and work will start again. No more guesses. I will need a couple of days to figure out the number of caches that we did. We will have to go over fields notes, paper notes and notes in the netbook that we made. As for the number of countries, we cached in a total of 13 countries (That in includes the USA, Sunday Sept 11 we got a cache in London, UK and in St. Paul, USA ~4012 miles apart). We will announce the winner as soon as we figure the number of caches that we found. Now it's off to cut the lawn, vacations are much funner when your on them. Thanks for all your guesses.
  14. That was going to be our plan, but the weather did not look to good, and we did get to see a lot of Norwegians in Coopenhagen. There was a match between Norway and Denmark, they sure know how to get ready for a game. So we went South West. As Shadow's Friend has been saying this was no amazing race, but it has been a very amazing adventure. And thanks to Geocaching we have seen and done so much more than we would have ever done without it. Get you guesses in as I am happy and sad to say that this adventure is alomost over. We get to visit with family tomorrow and then we must get on a plane to take us home and back to work.
  15. We had a great day today, we saw the little mermaid, a wall with a cannon ball in it and even an underwater sculpture (we really didn't see the sculpture, the water was not that clear and Shadow's Friend forgot her bathing suit, but we seen the top of the water where the sculpture should be underneath). Geocaching does bring you to some amazing places. We ended up the day with 9 finds and 4-5 DNF (being able to read the page would of helped out a lot on a few of them). And a lot of good memories of Copenhagen. It's off again to another country in the morning. We have modified our trip a bit, as we are both getting tired and we do not have any more vacation time to take to recover from this vacation. Thanks for guessing!
  16. We have made it safe and sound to Denmark. We even got a cache today in the rain. I hope it is sunny tomorrow so we can see some sites and get some more caches. So far Shadow's Friend has been carefull and has not had any more falls. We update again we I get the chance. Thanks for all of you guesses, There are some close (I think).
  17. Yesterday we attended two events, CWG and Logo Live. We had lots of fun and got some great geocoins (pictures later as we are having internet problems tonight, the wifi on our floor does not work, so we are in the lobby on the second floor where the light is on a timer and goes out ever 60 seconds). We even managed to find some real caches near by. Today we a nice time walking around Prauge, seeing the sites and picking a few caches here and there. If you are every around here I would suggest Prague Postcard Exchange (GCMG51). Great view and lots of neat postcards to look at, remember to bring one to exchange. We had one from our adventure with us that we exchanged for a nice card that has been already used, I think it will be fun when I have more time to translate it and see if they had a nice time when they sent the postcard. Tomorrow it's off to the North, for more caches and more countries. Logging is going to be a pain!!! The lights are off again so I must go. Thanks for guess.
  18. Today we got caches in 4 countries, we almost got 5 but we got in to late to Italy. We got a lot of nice caches today, one or two P&G, but the rest were GREAT caches. They had good views or had a nice hike to them. Yesterday we got caches in 3 countries. I even got to go into a culvert under the road (second one of those on this trip). The water was cold, and I got a little wet and dirty, but it was fun! We are getting ready for the CWG event this weekend. We leave for Pargue in the morning. Thanks for the guesses!
  19. We got in late last night, no time to post. We had a great day, We found 7 caches in 3 counties, we did lot of site seeing and no falls yesterday. The hardest part of caches in Europe is remembering that when dating the day is first. Well it's off to get another county today. I have never been so far behind in logging, but I want to do a nice log for each cache. Thanks for all the guesses.
  20. We had such a fun time at GCF EU. We meet a lot of nice cacher. It is always so nice to put a face with the names. We are sad to leave Koln, but happy that we are continuing our adventure. Today we added a couple of new counties and 6 new caches, we did have 3 DNFs, but it was a fun day. Shadow's Friend almost took a swim in Lake Como, she fell while looking for a cache (I was in no position to push). She landed hard, but she is ok, the camera took most of the fall. Tomorrow we continue with maybe a couple more countries and more caches. Thanks for all the guesses.
  21. Well with almost 300 cachers on the bus, there was not a DNF in any of the 5 countries. We had a great time and got lots of caches. It was well worth getting up at 3:30 to cache the bus. It's the BIG GCF tomorrow and then off south on Monday for a few more caches and counties.
  22. We have made it Germany for GCF EU 2011!!! We even got a cache today, after traveling and doing the laundry. The hotel even had water when we checked in, and all of the electrial convertors worked. I now have some to log, and it will take some time. I now know another reason we are not into the numbers. Have fun guessing!!! As we are having fun caching!
  23. Shadow's Friend and I will be on the look out for you. We are on our way via the UK. See you in a few days.
  24. Pssst ...Hey Willden, check out page 4. That cointest ended and we're onto another one! Thanks for help, our internet time has been hit and miss and our power has also been a miss. The UK convertor we had did not work. The pre charged batteries were not. All is well now, we got a convertor that works and we have all the batteries charged and ready to go.
  25. No problem. We are going on the bus trip which is 5 county in one day, so I don't think a guess of 3 will hold up. Unless a bus full of caches get a lot of DNF that day.
