  1. I'll do one then. Thanks for these ones Ian.
  2. If there isn't one in existence, I'd like to create a bookmark list for the challenge caches that are in the UK. I know of two so far: GC1K9PZ - Surrey Icon Challenge and GC22QHC - The Somerset Well Rounded Cacher Are there any others? and if there is already a bookmark list, can someone post the details please?
  3. Now archived.... I've never seen that happen before. A bit of a shame that no-one else could continue it?
  4. GC25W85: 10 Years! Exeter, Devon, UK on Saturday 1st May, 11:30am to 3pm.
  5. Currently in the reviewer queue is a 10 Years! event for Exeter. Hopefully it will be given the thumbs up by our reviewer
  6. I really don't understand the mentality of this. If the cache is worth doing then what difference does the date make? I always flag up old caches so they stand out on the map whenever I go caching. I like getting old caches, and have found some really really old ones (GC40, GC43) so the older ones will often take priority over new caches. I don't understand that you don't understand the mentality of this
  7. Ian, you've hit the nail on the head. A very silly situation, which should easily be resolved by someone at Groundspeak with some sort of pride for these diminishing original caches.
  8. When resealing a cache, make sure nothing gets trapped between the lid and the base. The cache will almost certainly get wet if this happens (Stuey)
  9. If you are rolling up lengths of paper to go in a 35mm container, make sure you staple them together at the top as loose sheets are difficult to handle in the wind and rain (Stuey) [also, if responding to a forum thread asking to include your name after your suggestion... follow instructions! (Stuey)]
  10. I started and finished a multi-cache that needed visits to 7 other countries on a circumnavigation of the world, so you'll be fine.
  11. When are you planning on a trip? I guess I can get something up and running in T&W, even if it is just for a few months. Should be there near 16th March (a week on Tuesday) for a few days. Flexible plans at the mo. Probably heading right up to the North East for a few days, then back to East Anglia for the rest of the week before the drive back to Devon. Would be brilliant to get Durham and Tyne and Wear (Durham is being replaced soon ) Thanks
  12. Anyone progressing with this one? Durham is also out at the moment, although a new place has been lined up. I'm planning on nipping up to the north-east from Devon for the LQ caches, but if two are out of action, it'll be frustrating to have to go all the way back another time.
  13. Time for a follow-up email/call then
  14. That makes sense as I removed 30 or so 40 which had been archived. I'll try your suggestion, thanks very much.
  15. Oh dear! It seems I'm the only one that can't see it. I'm logged in, and can see all of my other bookmark lists. Ah well, it'll have to stay as it is now as I can't change it or look at it, lol. Thanks for your help
  16. What was wrong with it Steve? That's impressive customer service! The rubber surround had dropped off... That happened to my old one to. They told me it was a design fault with the glue so replaced mine when it was out of warranty too . It's different to a cracked screen, as a cracked screen would be the result of carelessness or an accident, rather than faulty product.
  17. Yes, that non working one. Don't tell me you can see it, can you? All I get is this: View Bookmark List You do not have permissions to view this list.
  18. I was removing some archived caches from my bookmark list of puzzles that you solve at home and then get the co-ords for a physical cache. Unfortunately something went screwy and it corrupted the entire list and now it's empty! Sorry to say that I won't be recreating it, as there were almost 200 UK puzzle caches in the list. Despite being very SW biassed, it was once more useful than it is now, as there are so many puzzles now it's a bit overwhelming.
  19. What was wrong with it Steve? That's impressive customer service!
  20. I do the same as Tim. GPX files work fine.
  21. My 100th was special, but now I only bother arranging special ones for any cache find that ends with three zeros. I have a while to worry about #4,000 but I'll definitely choose a special one.
  22. Stuey, My Earthcache co-ordinates are near Stonebench not Epney. There is plenty of space to watch the Bore but you'll have to park a little way off and walk in unless you're really early. I'm hoping to be there myself, this one sounds really special. Ah yes, my mistake. I meant Elmore, not Epney, sorry!
  23. Quite a few of us are meeting up at the Earthcache co-ords near Epney Elmore and Stonebench (sorry, had to edit). I expect we'll walk northwards up the footpath along the riverside until we have a good view. We're aiming to be there at 7:30am, so should have time for a brew and a chat. I hope to park somewhere in Quedgeley or anywhere between the river and there, however close we can get. See you there!
