  1. Just to be clear, the LegendCx with MetroGuide-Eur will do the "find address" part and it'll show you in which direction and at what distance the found address (or POI/intersection/exit/etc.) is located. The only thing that you lose compared to CitySelect-Eur is the auto-routing feature where it determines a path with turn-by-turn directions to the destination. [And there's even an unofficial work-around for that but you lose some of the find capabilities in the process.] Thanks Peter & Wildlife Writer, I thought that this might be the case, and is a bit of a crafty move by Garmin only listing the more expensive, all singing and dancing software as compatible with this unit IMHO. As I will be using the unit for mountain biking, I don't really have much use for the auto routing, though it would be nice on those nights that I go out with the club, end up at a pub, and have to work out how best to get home. I'm interested by the unofficial workaround, can you point me in the direction of some more details? I'm already using the free UK Topo data published by the Scottish mountaineering club to provide contour overlays to my metroguide maps, though it does take up quite a bit of extra memory on my current etrex Legend. Thanks for your help, I've got a bonus due shortly, so I think I'll be investing in a new unit shortly. Adrian
  2. Hi All, Its been a while since I've been on here, but I've just noticed the new Garmin X series GPS units, and am interested in upgrading to the Legend Cx. Problem is that when you search for compatible mapping software on the Garmin site, it does not list Metroguide. As I only got Metroguide Europe v7 last year, I do not particularly want to have to pay for an upgrade to the CitySelect or CityNavigator software that does the fancy live navigating just yet. Does anyone out there use Metroguide on the Legend Cx? Is this just a case of Garmin only listing the software that fully utilises all of the GPS routing functions as compatible with this unit? Many thanks, Adrian
  3. Congratulations You call that slowing down ??? Well Done Jon & Lesley, Adrian
  4. I can't remember whether or not I've mailed to confirm my 3 coins, and can't find out due to a system crash and lost email. So in case I haven't confirmed, I am still interested in three coins. Cheers, Adrian
  5. I was able to get WAAS in the Reading area of Berkshire last week, but I checked this morning, and the GPS is ignoring Sat 33, which is where I got my lock from last week. Obviously still in testing. Adrian
  6. Congratulations on reaching 100 Here's to the next 100, and the next, and the next Well done, Adrian
  7. Mine is boring really, I'm a keen Geocacher and a keen cyclist doing almost all of my caches by bike. GeocachingCyclist was too long, Geocyclist had already been taken in the US, so I had to stick UK in front of it. Also a Geologist, so its appropriate in more ways than one. Adrian
  8. Congratulations on 400 Finds!!!!!! Well done Bob, Adrian
  9. Many thanks for all the congrats. Here's to the 300, but I think I'm gonna take it a bit slower, as I've got a lot further to cycle to get caches now [] Thanks, Adrian
  10. Congratulations on your 200th find Keep those numbers rolling. Well done, Adrian
  11. Can you please add me to the list as well, I'd like 3 please. Adrian
  12. There are loads along the K&A canal between Newbury & Crofton. I managed 25 in one day, so only 1 behind Stuey, but I only managed this because I was heading from Newbury to Pewsey one way. There are now even more along the canal, so if you start early enough from Newbury, I reckon 30 is possible. There are also loads of SP's along the ridgeway, so if you've got a mountain bike this might be worth a go, but it won't be so easy as cycling along the towpath [] Adrian
  13. Congratulations on reaching 500 Only another 800 or so to go to catch Subarite Well done Jon & Lesley, Adrian
  14. I think I've replied to your post on gps.org.nz. No offence meant, I did not know that there had been severe flooding in the area. I hope that you are all as ok as you can be, I know what its like as I've had my house flooded out here in the UK. I really feel for you all. Apologies, Adrian
  15. Anyone Interested???????? I'm still in need of a partner Adrian
  16. Hi, I am looking to a NZ cacher to partner the other half of the above cache and its sister cache Over the Pole South to North - GCMYWH. I have found the micro in the UK and can email a team the co-ords so you can find the main cache in Greerton, Tauranga NZ. Is anyone able to accept the challenge of these 2 multicaches? If so, email me thorough my gc.com profile. Hope to hear from someone soon, Adrian
  17. Well Done Andy, what more can I say, except. Congratulations Adrian
  18. Congratulations on 100 Finds Just wanted to say well done. Keep those numbers rolling See you at the end of the month. Adrian
  19. This is great. I had a bit of a mare installing greasemonkey, and had to download the script to my desktop, as I kept getting an error about not being able to download the script, despite the fact that I'd added the website to my allowed sites list. After that it was plain sailing. Thanx for a great add on. Adrian
  20. Congrats on reaching 100 Keep the numbers coming, Adrian
