Three cheers for the Bubble Boy!

What's with the photo contest? I can't find anywhere what the photo is supposed to be taken of. Oops, ended with a preposition, sorry!

I found an inflatable monkey as a FTF prize. Beat that! Inflatable monkeys rule.

Congrats. Welcome to The Addiction!

Almost forgot "Telstar", and ode to a satellite from, I think, The Ventures.

We just applied today. This is a poor substitute for the Wrangler we sold 5 years ago and still mourn, but at least it's something.

Just seeing if my avatar shows up

I have a real honest to goodness hound dog, so I'm tempted to try this. Here's a link to instructions on training your very own GeoHound.

I was wondering... Does a GPSr have an easier time getting reception at higher altitudes? I live at sea level and am going to the mountains this summer. I was just curious.

Find someone with a boat. Lie about "treasure". Apologize profusely.

I vote for the sign the lid idea. Cool!

Just to let all the other newbies out there know, it really is helpful to log a DNF (did not find) on the caches webpage if you searched and failed. My son and I went looking for a cache near home a few night s ago and couldn't find it. I logged a DNF that night and the owner checked on her cache. Turns out it really was missing. Now she can disable the cache until it is replaced. Everyone wins.

I'm admittably new to this, but I've been lucky when looking for a string holding the micro to a tree rather than for the container itself. Good Luck!

So far I've been mostly beach cachin'. Guess my flip-lops won't cut in the mountains. AND I'll need to wear socks!? Oh my.

bananas? yuck, yuck, yuck.
Seriously, the hiking staff is a great idea. We'll have to look for a few before our NC mountains trip. Thanks!

I'm new to geocaching. I've got a garmin eTrex legend that generally works great, however, there have been a couple of times that, while zeroing in on a cache, the distance to the cache and the bearing to the cache goes haywire and jumps all over the place. Any suggestions ?
That's a problem? I thought it was the "YOU'RE REALLY CLOSE" warning. Go figure.

That is great, Markwell.
Here is one way a tiny bison tubes can be "cammoed."
That pine cone is hanging in an oak tree . . .
I'M NOT WORTHY!!!!

i was lookinn at the Garmin eTrex Legend GPS Navigator, is that good?
That's what I have. Granted, it's my first and I've had it less than a month, but I'm constantly amazed at what it can do. The best price I found was $124 from Amazon.com. It loses reception in heavy tree cover, but that's not been a problem so far. It has been right on the money as far as geocaching (not that I've done a ton of it, but I was impressed)
Have fun!

God Bless the Space program. I'm a new caching addict and would rather listen to nothing at all than to listen to another terrestrial radio car commercial. THEY'RE ALL SO LOUD!!!!!!!
