  1. You can request more logs through the GSAK API....possibly other ways as well.
  2. Because thats all the logs that you receive from here in a gpx file. The GC cant show you data that it doesn't have.
  3. That IS the webupdater, I think. Well not exactly, it is the GCD file that you rename to GUPDATE.gcd and just place it in the /garmin/ folder. Webupdater not required.
  4. You can also get it directly here without webupdater. http://www8.garmin.com/software/Montana_WebUpdater__410.gcd
  5. Try the Yeti voice, its super easy to understand.
  6. I haven't played with it anymore as I never use my GC....plus the weather is nice out so no time! hahahaha
  7. While it wont yield exactly what you are looking for, you can use the quick filter option to show only traditionals etc.
  8. This can (and will) happen on any paperless garmin. The fix is to remove all gpx files and reboot with none. Then put them back in and reboot again. This forces a re-read of all gpx data. Most people will recommend putting the caches in the garmin/gpx/ folder of the sd card. If this happens to you out in the field, then you just simply remove the card, reboot, re-install the card and you are fixed. No computer needed this way.
  9. Just drag and drop your gpx files in the garmin/gpx/ folder. Delete found caches by removing the gpx that contains the found cache. Basically just overwrite the PQ gpx with a new one (assuming you dont include found caches in your PQ)
  10. This will work fine if they are unlocked mapsets, as in not locked to a particular unit. Free maps are fine, some topos are unlocked but City Navigator maps are locked.
  11. You are gonna have to send them individually. Send the Topos then rename them from gmapsup.img to topo.img, then send the blucharts and rename to bluchart.img etc. The montana does not like a mixed map set.
  12. The way i read that is if the mosaic said "Happiness for all" i would take 3 for "all" x 8 for 24 then I would subtract that 24 from the 251 for 227 and then i would take that same 3 x 3 for 9 and add it to 706 for 715 so the coords would be N 38° 35.227 W 090° 18.715 if the last word was 3 letters If you applied those changes to the "minutes" section before the decimal you would end up with N38 11.251 W90 27.706 which is 46 kilometers away from the posted coords.....cache description also says its a bout 1.5 mile walk round trip so....
  13. http://coord.info/TB4VQZA You should have also got an email alert about my log. And by the look of that cache, it would make sense to only apply the changes to the numbers after the decimal point.
  14. You can "write note" on a coin page without the tracking code. I just wrote you one on yours, feel free to delete it. As others have said, perhaps you should link the gc code for the cache you are referring to.
  15. All recent Garmin models do this (since Colorado). Every time a new model comes out the topic comes up again. It seems like a simple fix, yet garmin either doesnt see it as an issue or cant fix it.
  16. You could try manually adding the latest TZ map, although it may be the one that comes with the montana. http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4747 Around here we entered DST 2 weeks ago, and the montana changed as expected.
  17. There may be a new timezome map available if you run webupdater, then after it says you are up to date, go to the next "additional updates" and scroll past all the language things and see if there is something there.
  18. You can select it in the settings whether geocache-nearest or geocache-active (something like that) just look around in the dashboard settings.
  19. Of course they do. All GSM phones do. There is a CDMA version of the iPhone but not back when a 3G was available.
  20. # of caches is 5000 for the 450 and 2000 for the dakota Oregon does Wherigo caches. Oregon has more firmware features and is still being updated regularly.
  21. If you are in the North West, NWTrails is an awesome mapset....and free. The 24k garmin topos do have some trails shown, but are not always that accurate, however they are routable. The best trail data seems to come from crowd sourced info, like nwtrails or you could try something like this
  22. Thanks for advice I have tried the sign out and back in thing but no luck! and as for unistalling and reinstalling wouldnt that mean I'd have to pay for app again, which would be annoying if it didn't work? I just don't know what to do? No, the next time you go to the app store, instead of the "buy" button it will say "install"
