  1. I probably shouldn't stir the pot but. I had always heard about geo caching being a little cliquish but had never experienced it myself. However a friend got into FTF and it became apparent then. Three or four cachers who personally know the publisher seem to be the ones who are FTF at most of the local caches. Doesn't bother me but sure gets to her.
  2. Koos Koos that a good idea, thanks
  3. I didn't see anywhere that might show this but thought I would ask. I get a kick out of watching caches that I have been too and watching travel bugs that have been in my possession and it would be fun to learn who or why someone would be watching.
  4. Strange question I see several user's watching one of my caches, is there a way for me to find out who is watching? Just curious who might be watching.
  5. Thats a neat trick Flask, I wonder how they did that. I will never go out looking for a FTF again, to many people with the inside track beating eveyone to them.
  6. Yea Skippermark you can say that again. I'm the outsider listening to friends and keeping my ears open when others are around. The group that has the inside track is making the others mad, then the comments start showing up on the online logs. I just recently removed 2 of my logs because I didn't feel comfortable with all the comments being made. I guess its just like everything else in life, you get out of it what you put into it. And yes it is the 3rd party stats that I was talking about. Everyone seems to be hung up on getting the most of everything.
  7. Sorry fat fingers hit the button twice.
  8. Great answer KoosKoos I will pass that along. Ive always heard about how clickish locals can be in this game and I have recently noticed how bad it is in Vegas. I will just keep plodding along at my slow pace and enjoy my finds now and then. No one ever said you have to find them all, just the ones you think are fun. PS it is a couple of freinds of mine that are wrapped up with others over FTF.
  9. My question is who gets credit for the FTF in the stats. The first person to log on the official cache page or the person that logs their name first on the log sheet at the cache? The reason I ask is the person in the below posted log that was part of the bike placement team originally posted a note saying he was on the placement team so he has the first log online. After the FTF person signed the log and then logged online the original person changed their log from a note to a find to say he found it. I have been told but can't find the answer online that the first person to log online gets the credit in the stats, if so then the person who helped place the cache after changing his post from a note to a find is getting credit for something he didn't do. He also never signed the log at the cache. This very thing happened at 11 caches the other night. I took the names out of the below post from a cache January 17 by ?
