  1. User interfaces have gotten worse over the years as minimalist elements have been employed. The new logging page was an example of this, and the new, new login page is a continuation of this. Personally I've always preferred a page with more contrast and fields that are easy to see. Now as I get older, those preference are now needed accessibility features. I do not like the new logging page. I do not like that the opt out button is missing. It's not really the button I'm missing, it's a well designed and useful page I'm missing; like the original logging page.
  2. I recently noticed that the Hides stat on the Profiles page shows the total number of caches ever hidden not the number of active aches. I find this misleading and useless. It's misleading because two people may have a stat that shows 20 caches hidden but one of the people may have cached 5 of them for various reasons. The only way for this total number ever hidden stat to have any relavance to anything is to also display the number of caches that are currently active. Including archived caches in the Finds stat makes sense because the find was made made whether the cache continues to exist or not. Including the archived caches in the Hides stat serves no purpose. I've looked at other cacher's profiles, and the total number hidden stat wasn't a real problem. Listing the caches shows the archived ones along with the active ones. The problem I have is within my personal profile. When I go to the list of my caches I want to know how many are active, and how many are archived. Actually having that archived number further broken down into permanently archived and temporarily disabled would be usefull, too. (Probably not needed in the public profile but it would still be interesting.) I started writing this up focused on the numbers that appear below my avatar on my profile page. While I think the Hides number is misleading the Finds/Hides display there could be left alone, but I think it would be usefull to have the total hides ever hidden number broken out to Active/Disabled/Archived numbers on the My Caches page. It would be useful information for doing maintenance. The same would probably apply to the My Trackables page. I'm wondering if other cachers would find this useful. Leon
