  1. http://community.webshots.com/user/flipper_5074 I can't for the life of me work out how to post pictures here, but this link even if copy and paste should take you to Gayle's webshots where there are some pictures from our wedding day. cheers Gayle & Mark
  2. We Aussie Flipper's have done a couple of trades, and a couple of missions, and a heap of ebaying, so things take their time to go and come from where ever, it is amazing the time frames that have happened, when sending and recieving we notify when we have sent and when things have arrived. Recently we ordered tickets for the Great Dorset Steam fair, they took 7 days to arrive from England. We also had some help for arranging train tickets from England, these were shipped before the Dorset tickets, but because they looked suspicious, the package of tickets were opened by customs, and took a month to get to us!!! Our tickets looked like a bunch of credit cards, so of course the xray machine targeted it for inspection!! All here safe, and well, one just has to take it as it comes and keep your fingers crossed all goes to plan. Cheers Gayle & Mark
  3. When we got all of our keys we loved them. Mark & I decided to give eachother one each in our wedding ceremony yesterday on 08.08.08. We have them activated as the keys to our hearts, and will wear them on chains, they will be avilable for discovery, and will visit special caches in our travels. Cheers for making these coins they are stunning. Gayle & Mark
  4. Coins arrived, first one is set free in OZ, and the next will be dipped until we get to release it in Ireland on our trip, thanks for the chance to move these great coins around. Cheers Gayle & Mark
  5. Got ours this week would love to see Ameythst, Aquamarine, Tourmaline and Citrine colours, they would be fantastic. We'll be keeping a set, but releasing a couple and give the rest away in caches or at an upcoming event. Very neat idea. Cheers Gayle & Mark
  6. Loads of great coin pic's here, but I can't figure out how to post pictures of my coin's framed, so will just have to sit this one out. Cheers Gayle & Mark
  7. Thanks for the notes guys, very much appreciated. We are working on plan B to get around the *ay *al thing. Hope to have it sorted before we are dashing off to the airport to jump on the plane Still a few delay coins due in before we go, hopefully they will come along soon. On a bright note I wanted to say a big thank you for the wonderfull coins we have been able to add to our collection via the Forums. Cheers Gayle & Mark
  8. We ordered a couple of these coins, but they must be taking longer to swim down under. Will be paitent for a bit longer. Cheers from OZ Gayle & Mark
  9. On the buying side, we have ordered and have a couple still due in some time soonish, always makes for a surprise package at the post office. Recently as buyers we had the other locking problem with pay pal, and although wanted to order Earth Turtles and a couple of others direct, low and behold we can't, because of the locked account.. where does pay pal get off telling us what we can and can't buy??? So we miss out on some pretty neat new coins. We can travel the world on that darn card, but pay pal says.. sorry you can't use it!! We have had a couple of designs for tags done, but can't do any more, or work on a coin design, because we can't pay via the accepted method. So the Flipper's are going to travel and sort out the coins when we get back, wanted to order some 08.08.08 ones too.. (our wedding day) but will miss them too. So it's not just sellers that can get screwed over ... buyers can get put in a bad position, especially when you have made a promise to buy!!! cheers from oz Gayle & Mark
  10. Very, Very nice, but we'll probably miss out on this one boo hoo that *ay*al place recons the flippers have indulged too much and won't let us buy any more on the credit card.. we can sneek around them with vendors but not with direct sellers... grrr... will have to hope for a trade down the track Gayle & Mark
  11. The Flippers are in the same state as Hitting the Road, but we will be travelling in August to England, Europe, Ireland. If you don't want another in Oz we can drop one in one of those other countries. Cheers from the Flippers Gayle & Mark
  12. Hi Spookies, glad you liked our mission, we used a different bent, you could say on this one, looked at your town and tried to relate it somehow to ours, which is why the stuff from "Glenelg" as it is the founding place of South Australia, of sorts. It was a lot harder because of the broken foot. We also sent the penny and half penny as you have one as your avatar. Would like to know how you have so many to put in caches. We have started a few with coins and pennies which are left from Gayle's dad's collection, nothing special just a few old pennies etc, just because we like to travel and odd coins are always in the bottom of the bag when you get back home. Some do get fished out when heading off again Glad to share a part of our bit of the world with you. Cheers from the Flippers Gayle & Mark
  13. We got celtic suns & our reverse trade mission today. Couple of days ago we got roses, travel ingots, which are going to be travel companions for our aussie 50cents when we tour europe. All cool stuff cheers Gayle & Mark
  14. A big thankyou to the Horn Hunters, our package arrived in OZ today, hmm... something we never had before, being from oz, we just never took to needing a Boomerang but it's great. The coins were extra cool as well, we'll have to hide the Guitar as a friend keeps eying off one we got in our other mission, I have fooled him by putting it in a mounting frame with a number of other coins to display them, I think this new one will go in the next display I make up. The coin of yours will start it's Aussie rocking journey on the weekend Again thanks, it was a fun mission to play, although I don't think we did too good, the broken foot got in the way. cheers Gayle & Mark
  15. Would love to have some of these. Looks awesome. Today we got Celtic Suns, the set to get the LE Copper, but actually think the Silver one is the best. Sometimes it does not gel in the design untill you get the real thing. Will they be trackable? I can see this would be a good seller, hope not to miss out 10c worth from the Flipper's Cheers Gayle & Mark
  16. Last year in March Mark & Gayle were at the local motor show. We went past a booth selling all sorts of maps etc as well as GPSr and we stopped to ask about using our GPS when we go to Europe and England this year. Well he said we should get a better navigator type for the trip. As we had a GPS he asked if we did Geocaching, we said no, what is it? He told us about the site, we took a note and away we went for the rest of our days plans. When we got home it was late but we decided to look up the site, we set up the team as Flipper&co as Gayle is a Dolphin, and when we put in our home co-ords there was a cache 500m from home, so off we "walked" no idea what we were looking for, and it was 11.30pm on a Sunday night!! we got close, but did not find it, Mark went back the next day after work and found it. He waited till Gayle got home and we went back together, and discovered our first cache. This was the week before Easter and we were going to the Riverland for the holiday's, so took out the rest of what was to become our "team" We own 51 caches too now, because we cleaned out the Riverland area pretty quick, it is good there are a few new cachers in that area now so there are new ones for us to find as well as the city ones. We are heading for our 800th soon, We started on a mission back in November to find at least 1 cache every day in November, well we kept going till we got to 222 days in a row. We hold the Australia & NEW Zealand record for this. Now we are planning for our big trip to England and Europe, and will visit Vancouver and Hawaii on the way home, and all thanks to the travel bug and Alex from the map shop. We are travel bugs and love seeing the different places geocaching takes you to. cheers form Flipper&co Gayle & Mark
  17. Wanted to say you were going geocashing in Australia, in particular Adelaide, aka as the geocaching capital of Australia. But as you noted you were not leaving on a jet plane, boat or train, a car may take you on a caching holiday in the direction of one of our Flipper TB's which is near Oldebroek. As we know nothing about the netherlands apart from in August we will be passing through Amsterdam whilst on a tour, and for us to try to find a cache will almost be impossible as I can't read Dutch and the area's we may be near I can't find English cache notes....sigh, any way that is the Flipper's guess. cheers from South Australia Gayle & Mark
  18. WOW, Horn Hunters, sounds like you might have sent a package our way. I think we are the only South Aussie's playing in this mission. We were trying to connect our place to where we were sending, it was a lot harder than we thought, which is why we did a joint one this time and not 1 each With Gayle having a broken foot, it certainly was a lot harder. So hopefully our parcel arrives in Florida, and makes some sence, but probably won't it was fun any way, and in a way we learned a little bit more about a place we knew nothing about!! ps we also made episode 30 of the geotalk pod cast this week too cheers from the Flipper's Gayle & Mark
  19. Flipper's finally got the package out in the post today as well. It's been a bit hard with a broken foot, I just hope our receiver will be happy with our offering. Tried to connect the 2 places, not sure how well we did. But it's now on the way. Cheers Gayle & Mark
  20. Howdy from Australia. TEAM FLIPPER&CO who hail from Adelaide, South Australia, cached EVERY day from November 1st. 2007 to 9th June 2008, this means we cached 222 days in a row. we believe that we now hold the Australian/New Zealand record. CHEERS FROM MARK/GAYLE
  21. The Flipper's are not doing a caching event on that day, but we are getting married on that day, figured it would be easy to remember the date for future anniversaries cheers Gayle & Mark
  22. That is a very cute duck Would fit in nicely with a shape collection. cheers from the Flipper's Gayle & Mark
  23. We are hoping to get to a location on Sunday to get "stuff" to go in our mission. Gayle's foot plaster was turned into a moon boot on Friday, so although slow going, walking is easier than crutch hopping. If we can get what we need, it can be packed up, and it will be Mark's task to do the posting cheers from the Flipper's Gayle & Mark
  24. Very nice coin, a dipper for the flippers, I need to tie down the credit card for a bit But still very nice. Gayle & Mark
  25. Flipper's are hunting, and have some ideas, but it may be a bit slower getting out in the post, Gayle (main souvineer shopper) had a slight mishap at work today, and has a broken foot!! Plaster cast to be installed tomorrow!! ouch.. 6 weeks in plaster, hope it is no longer, we have 8 weeks to our wedding, and 10 weeks till we head off to England, Europe and other parts. cheers Gayle & Mark
