  1. That's what I wanted to suggest. As a premium member you can also export this data and use it elsewhere.
  2. Yep, I got a 40 Euro return flight. Which I can cancel if needed. To be honest, I don't care much about Monaco, but there's an interesting Roman quarry about 300m above town. I will probably just get a cache in Monte Carlo to get it on the map, and then hike up to the quarry. And then I decide depending on conditions. A Le Corbusier villa might be worth a visit, Nice has a few interesting museums and also a bit of Roman archaeology... Actually, I looked at San Marino, but it's not quite as easy to get to. Certainly involves lots of train travel. I might keep it for some as of yet undefined vacation in Italy some time in the future.
  3. That's the reason I don't really like them. I don't really go for the numbers (ok, I go for EC numbers, but that's a different story) but generally try to make finds count. This is just too easy. With a +1 to the total I would do them more often. But a +5, or even a +10 is just too cheap. Of course this means that if a station is not accessible, or you can't answer it for some reason you don't get the +1, but that would be fine for me.
  4. I had quite a few trips abroad, but it mostly involved taking a train to Germany. Well, I did add Croatia and Czechia to my list this year, and might or might not add Monaco in December. We'll see. I certainly have nothing long-distance planned even though I keep on getting fab flight offers. Just now Amsterdam to various towns in Canada for 250 Euro in Summer. Oh well... At least on Saturday I hope to add two more Dutch municipalities to my ever-growing list.
  5. If you want to hide a cache you need to change your home location. Also, if you want to see events near you and open the map near your home location this might be necessary as well. If I remember correctly, notifications work differently. So basically: Yeah, moved internationally an awful lot of times. That distances and other things change doesn't matter to me. If I worked on a 360 degrees from home challenge and moved then I just start again. Hey, I have about 1000 caches in one degree, and distance from home looks like this (see below). Good luck after this move! On to new adventures, eh?
  6. I know this might be OCD territory, but something bugged me big time with this profile page: it looks messy. So I drew a few lines. Basically nothing lines up apart from exactly two things. This is in Firefox, latest version, Windows 10 on a 14" notebook. Honestly, all the elements of that profile have been randomly thrown on there. If this is supposed to be the future then it needs a lot more work, because this is not ready.
  7. Someone might install these, and then people can just print, prestamp and cut pieces of paper, turn them into a small ball and just toss them out of the window. You get to log twice (special rule for ET highway) if you actually hit the net.
  8. I think @Die3 was thinking of the dahsboard, which indeed has a fantastic navigation for left-handed people. This is something to applaud, but it leave about 90% of all cachers with a rubbish navigation.
  9. Please don't give a mandatory order to the different locations. If signal is poor at one point (or the information to answer vanishes) then people can't do the other locations either.
  10. Is the ap using an own map or the map native to the phone? Apple maps is, quite honesty very rubbish for hiking trails and I never use it.
  11. Look in the Urwigo thread at my post. It's pretty much the same error message. I still don't know what is happening, but one thing is certain: this error also pops up when I create a very simple cartridge without any images. Basically, it pops up when I try to compile a cartridge that consists of nothing else but the name. Oddly, this is only the case on my notebook. Everything works on my old notebook that I specifically pulled out of storage to test this. It's something with the windows installation, but I don't know what. It's not .net framework, nor java.
  12. Yes, but you got your user pic in front of your found caches so you really know that 'you' is you. Btw, why is the grey background of the forum different than the background on the website? Here the contrast is much better, btw.
  13. Comparison old vs. new: Form follows function vs function follows form.
  14. Yes, I use the new profile, because I'm too lazy to switch back. But there's a lot that's not right for me. Here's a screenshot at how I see it in my browser, and some comments. For me, there's just too much whitespace everywhere, and too little contrast overall. The tiny advertising with us is simply infuriating: To me it looks like the menu pours out of it's frame, but someone messed up the aligning. Yeah, I might as well not use an add-blocker, I know.
  15. Are you logging into geocaching with an email address, facebook or username? Is it possible at all to log in with an email address, btw? a) First of all, if your account is linked with facebook (or anything else that might do this) then also change the password in facebook. b) check the associated email address at https://haveibeenpwned.com/ if this email address has been compromised then do change the password everywhere you use this. c) check the logbooks of the caches in question or ask your friend to do so. d) is it possible that you have some pending logs/draft logs somewhere that you never posted and that somehow got associated with these caches? Does the overall writing fit your style and is unique enough? e) do you sleep-walk-cache?
  16. I reported this about a week ago already. See below. It's also annoying that the events calendar doesn't stay open.
  17. Well.. there's just no geology here, which makes it difficult to create EarthCaches.
  18. Gosh, you're fast! *sigh* so I guess I might log yet another groundwater meter or something similar rubbish Oh well...
  19. Last update I guess: I dug out my old laptop and tried it there - and everything works as it should. There's something wrong with my computer that won't let me use Urwigo properly but I have no idea what. The Urwigo website only mentions .net framework 3.5 as requirement, and I checked that one. This error seems to be somehow related to something within the zones, but I can't figure out what. Location/number settings maybe? As in: my current computer is continental European and I use a mix of British and European settings (decimal separators, dates, language), while the old one is totally British. I can't quite imagine that this would be an issue though.
  20. I usually try to get about 72 words together for even a less interesting log (my next step on that badge). Doesn't work all the time of course, but then I write longer, proper logs for nice caches without fluffing it up.
  21. Really odd. Vooruit! can run my little testproject without problems. So I quickly clicked another testproject together, this time with no images at all. Result is the same, and the errors are in exactly the same line of code. (new error message attached), which again don't seem to refer to anything useful in the code itself. The same error message that pops up when I open an open source cartridge and try to safe it in order to run it. It's something odd on my computer. Unfortunately I don't have another machine to try this on. Or rather, it doesn't sound like a good idea to install non-approved software on my work computer. Guess it's time to find out if the maker of this programme spreaks English well enough
  22. Things are getting more and more curious. My small file runs on another computer. So the issue seems to be specific to my computer. Hmm..
  23. Thanks a lot. I'll have a look if it's small enough for the message centre. I also just checked whether I have a new enough version of .net Framework installed, and it looks like 3.5 (plus newer) is installed. That's not it either.
  24. Hmm.. ok, I think this is a few steps ahead of my knowledge at the moment. I only have a .urwigo file at the moment, and can't compile it, but safe it in .gwz format, and via the website compile it to a .gwc file. Not sure what it means though.
  25. Hmm.. is there a new version of the software that might be causing this? When did you update yours? I just looked through the code in the file I created in notepad++. The lines mentioned in the error message refer to opening tags, closing tags, and other random things. That the error message refers to Utf8 made me wonder first if I used letters that I could not. But that's not the issue. Maybe the whole software is not compatible with my computer one way or another.
