When I bought my Legend, I saved $50 by getting a refurbished one. Haven't had a problem yet.

I think the money is well worth what I get and it goes to keep the the site up and running.

RK had to leave Boise because of Beentherefoundit. He never misses an event and has more finds and hides than I think he can remember. Went to a remote cache in Washington and he had already found it. Looked up a remote cache in California and he HID it!

Being an officer, I have gone and staked out a known cache to see who some local cachers are. After contacting them and grilling them about thier so-called hobby, I let them know that I also cache. Soem of the stories I have been told. Plus sneaking up on them is a lot of fun!

Fear of boobytraps is why I usually go with someone else. I let them them open it first! Also helps with possible bear other animal attacks. Then I only have to outrun them and not the animal!

The upper right corner of the cache description page, not your cache page.

You can hide it under the water
You can hide it with your daughter
You can hide it with your mom
You can make it look like a bomb
You can hide it under a rock
You can hide it under the dock
You can hide in the tree
You can mail it to me
If I mail it to you, then find it, can I log it?

Four wheel drive does not mean you will not get stuck, it means you will get stuck worse!!

I think I need to go wash my hands, keyboard and monitor!

Three trips for a 1/1. Looked under every rock and then I looked up. If it had a bird I would have needed a new hat.

Krylon makes a full line of plastic paints now. Used them and found they work quite well.

I recently noticed that all of the cache's planted on the boundary of a wildlife refuge have been moved. I guess in Idaho they are pushing the issue. I don't understand how geocaching is worse than than goose and duck hunting.

Having worked in both law enforcement and EMS, in both rural and suburban areas. In my experience, the GPS would have been most usable in rural areas. Cities expand and add streets faster than mapping software can keep up. I am currently working in a department that covers mostly mountain areas, 3 highways and hundreds of miles of forest roads. We are just updating to basic e-911. As with many small departments, the budget does not allow for new technology. Hence, the ones who need it the most are the last to get it.

I always cache with someone I can out run.

When I bought my Legend, the counter guy said that the Gecko is replacing the basic. He told me that he will not be able to get a basic after April.

When my guard unit went to Ft Irwin, the only time that our GPS didn't work was when the Marines were flying their jamming planes overhead. I have to agee with Searching ut.

For what it matters, a friend of mine did a battery test as part of a college study. They found that the Kirkland batteries lasted longer than any others they tested.
