  1. i recently bought one for my 60csx...install was easy and i only know its there because the screen now has a tiny bit more reflection to it than before. Otherwise you don't even notice it. It was well worth the 7.95 i spent on it. Plus i got the free shipping and with the new UPS/USPS system i even got a tracking number with it.

I hope i never have to see it in action, but i am glad i have it on there.

  2. That is great, Markwell. thumbsup.gif

Here is one way a tiny bison tubes can be "cammoed."

That pine cone is hanging in an oak tree . . .

Of course how many people out there really know the difference between an oak tree and a pine tree....at least in my area its rather few.

  3. IWPWSAESPOT.......

    Stands for:

I wish People would stop abbreviating every stinking phrase out there.....

how hard is it to simply type out...thanks for the cache? See that took me 2 seconds to type.

Sorry for the gripe i just had to put it out there.

  4. I am looking to place my first cache sometime in the future. I am also beginning to find more caches in my area that have swag in them.

So my question is would Adults generally appreciate the following as swag:

    Rain ponchos

    Table Tennis balls

    Small Flashlights

    Baseballs

    Glow Sticks

    Tennis Balls

Cooler Ice packs (the reusable kind)

    Tissues (small sealed packages)

    Camping toilet tissue

I would definitely appreciate your opinions on this.

    Thanks,

  5. Is this irritating? Yes it is, but from what i have seen from the developers in the past I know they are wroking hard to get this fixed. Geocaching seems to have hit quite a boom in the last year and they are probably still trying to meet the demand. We do pay for the service and its not unreasonable for us to expect it to work, but unlike many other companies we know they are working on it.

Where as many of us pay a lot more to companies who offer buggy and just bad software, with little to no complaint. Give them time they will figure it out ...the other option you have is to cancel your premium service until the issue is resolved.

  6. I don't think there are mandatory markings, but it would be a good idea to put a geocaching.com sticker on it...or have something that identifies it as a geocache and what geocaching is. This will prevent the uneducated person from thinking its a bomb or something. Its always good to have detailed information so if nothing else you may get someone else addicted to it.

  7. It also depends on how your GPSr can use the card. If it can be used to store more waypoints, routes etc, it would be a great idea to have a larger card. I keep a 2 gig in mine since i do have the whole country installed on the card and since it only cost me 20 bucks it was worth getting.

  8. The Magellan units' compass will only work if you are moving at a certain speed. This has nothing to do with which north setting you have. The explorist series, i believe, gets it compass heading from the satellites so it is not a true electronic compass. Because of this you must be moving at least 2mph (i think thats the right speed) for it to be accurate.

  9. as far as the NT versus the non NT...the NT version has a different compression rate than the non NT..meaning you can put the same amount of maps in a smaller file....some have reported less than 1 gig. The NT also offers real time traffic information to the GPS unit, if your gps supports that functionality, either version should be fine for you. I use City Nav 8 non NT and i love it.

And you are more than welcome!
