  1. Personally, I think everyone can play the game however they like, but I do agree with Westie Walker about the sharks. It would be nice for the FTF's to go around. It sux when one person always gets the FTF. Like grow up and give others a chance to feel the FTF specialness too. I think these sharks are just selfish, obsession driven cachers who have lost the real zeal for this sport of geocaching. I wonder if they even go after caches unless they have just been published? I can just see a shark crying and balling his/her eyes out after being second to find. Actually, that would make a great video to post on this forum. Not to mention being bitter about and towards the FTFer. This is when this sport loses its awesomness. Just my 2cents' worth, Cheers, ImmY
  2. I'm with Gavia on this one. One day at a time kiddies.....each one is special. Cheerio, ImmY
  3. I always log all my DNF's. It doesn't bother me to be outwitted by the owner of the cache. Actually, it is what makes this sport challenging and fun. You will never find all the caches on the first try, but at least let the owner know that you are looking. It sux when you have a DNF logged, like me, and then the cache owner moves across country and you cannot at least try to find it again. That really grinds my bone. Cheerio, ImmY
  4. I realize this topic has not been visited for a while, but I just had to add my 2cents to it. Personally, I think that placing a cache should be completely without restrictions. I believe that when you are caching. not placing, that you should have restrictions. Simply put......the cacher is not allowed to dig and make holes in search of caches, but the placer of the cache has to make the cache accessible to the cacher without the said cacher having to use any tools for digging and such. This makes total sense to me and in my opinion avoids all the previously mentioned conflicts discussed here. No one wants to see our parks and public lands destroyed by unruly geocachers, that is why the onus should be on the placer to make the cache properly accessible for the cacher.....this does not mean that the placer cannot use tools, but the cacher definitely cannot. Cheerio, ImmY
  5. I have had a Magellan Meridian Gold for a few years now and I have never had a problem. I find it accurate and really easy to use. It also has features lacking by others. Simply put....I Love It... Cheers
