  1. The "texture" inside the state on the Whitney side seems a little funny. I think it should either be smooth or show the actual geography of the state like one of those 3-D maps. Again, on the Death Valley side, my personal preference would be to leave the cartoon elements out. If you do decide to leave them in, perhaps it would be a good idea to change to something that is a different theme than the NV coin. Finally, a minor point...you've got the Death Valley coordinates on both sides of the coin.
  2. Thanks. It was a bit confusing to me since the descriptions of some of the other coins up for sale soon specifically mention VIP sales, but yours doesn't say anything.
  3. Will you be accepting VIP orders on the Nebraska coin?
  4. I like the one with the mule team pulling the ammo boxes better. The other one is too busy, IMO. 'From highest peaks to lowest valleys' is nice. However, I think it should be 'From highest peaks...' on the Mt Whitney side, and '...to lowest valleys' on the Death Valley side.
  5. It'd be pretty cool to have a relief image of Mt Whitney on one side (raised above) and an incluse image of Death Valley (sunken below) on the other. Is that even possible?
  6. If anyone is interested in workerofwood (finalist for best personal coin of 2005), I have a few extras. I think wow himself is out.
  7. Don't worry. If this coin was truly meant *just* for Dutch geocachers at a Dutch event, then the name of the event would have been written in Dutch...not English.
  8. I was sitting at my desk this morning while Outlook started up. Gazing absent mindedly at the screen, I thought to myself, 'Hey, where have I seen that logo before?' Yup, right here. The coin shapes and color scheme (minus the GC logo images) is identical to the one for Outlook 2000.
  9. This meeting is being discussed in the forums at the Geocachers of the Bay Area web site (www.thegba.net). I'll copy your post there.
  10. You send each other invoices for 1 cent. At least that's how GeoCrickets suggested we do it.
  11. I've got both the earthquake and the microchip coins coming, and looking for trades.
  12. WorkerofWood was kind enough to sell me some of his coins. If you can't make a trade with him, perhaps it will work with me. In the past, I've traded primarily in state and organization coins, but will consider all offers. Thanks!
  13. I have San Diego. I want LIGO bronze. Please send me an email if you're interested in trading.
  14. 993 caches found. Avg. Difficulty = 1.91 Avg. Terrain = 1.64 Avg. Challenge = 2.11 190 hard caches found (19%) Fun tool! Thanks.
  15. I'm pretty sure those coins are made of ferrous metal...it should be ruined in short order. I hope I'm wrong, or you put it in something waterproof. A bronze coin would have been a better choice.
  16. I have two spare spares of the massive Texas Autumn geocoins that just showed up in the mail about 10 minutes ago...
  17. Ummm...Somebody beat you to this one...
  18. It appears so. Some commercial coins have their own Icon. Does Groundspeak really have a commercial coin classification??? I see no mention of it. If it does, that would explain why apparently personal coins, sold for profit, are allowed to use the Groundspeak logo. Of course, there's no mention that personal coins with the logo can't be sold for a profit, either. Does anyone else remember a mention of that guideline?
  19. Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with the silver McKinley too. You can't even read the lettering, and the GC.com tracking is only ink-jetted on. Cheap.
