I like that is clearly says to move it along. Some people don't understand the traveling concept initally. Thanks for a bit of education, as well, about logging the bugs. I need to go back and make sure I didn't make too many newbie errors. Small tags would be super cool as well, for the smaller caches that are in great locations, but overlooked.

I wouldn't consider myself a "lurker" since in my world "lurkers" are those who log onto sites to either advertise something or try to find a date. At the same time, this is my first post to this site. I've been using it to educate myself about geocaching since I am new to the game. I don't have many solo finds, but I had over 30 in two weeks when I had a GPS unit to use. I figured I learn as much as I can before I post here, so I guess that is lurking, Since I've posted does that makes me a non-lurker? I'm really just curious about why this seems to be an important topic? Problems in the past with Spam or not nice posts? I am from Northern California and I mostly cache this area under the name KittyC, a old nickname that was given to me. I'd love to meet other cachers in my area, especially if they wouldn't mind a tag along. My given name is Christine and I have a post graduate degree in Applied Research. I am a good codebreaker, tree climber, rock scramble and a rugged hiker. I am also house trained and declawed! I used to do a similar activity in Germany when I was growing up but without the technical equipment. I am on sabbatical from teaching at Humboldt State University and have been wanting the time to do this for awhile. Now is the time for me. I never thought to introduce myself since I figured my profile does that. Once I learn more and get a new GPS, I'll be posting sincere questions left and right. I look forward to some good caching advice and stories. Can't wait to meet some fellow cachers!
