Thanks for the reply. I do not have either of those programs. I have Map Send topo that came with my megellan. Guess I will find out . Thanks again I think that the mapsend program will work like the mapsouce I may be doing something wrong. My garmin does not identify when the SD card is pluged in either empty or with info. Magellan loada with mpx foremat and garmin uses gpx. I would think the card would show up even without dats???

Has anyone tryed using the garmin c330 street pilot as a bench marking tool. Can the SD card be used to load waypoints to at least get to the location. I have a megellan hand held unit to get closer. Any help appreciated.

You may want to start by bringing up JL0848 This is the east portal of the park. You can research other marks from there. Hope this helps.

I saw a benchmark in side the rest area building in Iowa On I 80 West bound from Illinois. First rest area in the state. In the floor of the main visitors building. I do not know if in the data base.

My list is no ware near as impresive. Your are to be congredulated on your finds. I have only found one in the 1800's. JD2552 BELSHE 1879 In Cole County Missouri. Found 2-15-05. In a muddy cattle feed lot. I was wearing white tennis shoes. Enough said. (Sorry about the spelling)

I just found my first Chisled Square On a Old Wabash RR bridge in Glascow Missouri. I will be logging my find as soon as I get my paper work and pic's cooridinated. It is KD0219. Good Pic I did highlight mark for a better pic.

I know we are not susposed to carry firearms but I was met in Arkansas By a farmer with a shotgun. I was looking for Myrtle . (do not remember the PID)Was on the highway right of way. But he thought he owned to the blacktop. I did not argue with him. actually had a good conversation after I explained what I was doing. But I was rather nervis the hole time.

After extensive hunting and talking to old timers I found the bank bldg that should have had the benchmark. Found a repaired spot in the brick wall in the area where mark should have been. In the motor joint was nothing but green granuals that were falling on the ground. Do the brass markers oxidize this way.? I have Pics of the building. Any info ? Thanks kgbinmo
