  1. You rock! Missed that. Thanks for the help. -- Craig
  2. Ok, this is not working right on my moms account. The PQ will run once on the day(s) selected. After the PQ is run, the day of the PQ automatically unchecks itself and no more PQs are sent out. I have never had an issue with my account. Anyone have an ideas? This is a weird thing happening IMHO. Thanks, Craig
  3. Guess I spoke prematurely as well. The link is screwed up for me too. I didn't make any changes to the settings when I installed the plugin. Bummer. EDIT: Ok, so Gary is right. Go to Special | Message Plugin Settings. Select the UTF8 plugin and then click on settings. Make sure everything is unchecked. After I did that, it seemed to be fine. Don't forget to exit and reopen the application after making the change. Thanks again Gary.
  4. Pure genius! This did the trick for me. While I agree this should have probably been fixed on the back end, at least it's working now with the plugin. Thanks Gary!
  5. Put me down as another Gmail / Eudora user that's still appears to be having issues. Honestly, I have pretty much stopped using Eudora now in lieu of Gmail's web client. The format still looks fine in Gmail. If I get a wild hair up my butt, maybe I'll change the email address to something other than Gmail to see if it makes a difference. I wouldn't think so. EDIT: So I switched the email to my Verizon account and got the same result. It's what I expected actually. Web mail for Verizon, which happens to be supported by Yahoo, seems to look fine. Is anyone having an issue with another mail client aside from Eudora?
  6. There still is a format issue. At least for me. But at this point they probably have bigger problems to deal with. They need more servers or something. It's very slow often.
  7. This is something that could easily be overcome and should be a non-issue really. There is a certain amount of time you can edit your log before it contains the tag that it was edited. Why not just send the notification out after that time has expired. This would also give logs the ability to make brief changes before being sent out in an email. I dunno really. Seems like something that shouldn't be so hard to implement IMHO.
  8. Ah. Good to know it's not just me. My search included watchlist so I must have missed it. I feel better now. Thanks.
  9. An old thread but nothing seems to have changed with this. I too would like the picture in the log. If nothing else at least a link or something to let you know there is a picture. While I get all the emails, I always end up clicking on the link to go to the site just to see if any photos were included. I don't need the photo in the log. I just at least want to know there's a photo to go look at.
  10. Ok, a few weeks ago something screwy happened to my watchlist. Let me first say that this may not be a Groundspeak issue. Here's the deal... When I get the watchlist email it's a jumbled mess. There is no formatting at all. The email is being downloaded in Eudora from Gmail. Now the funny part is, it looks just fine when I go to Gmail directly. It used to always work fine. Something changed at either GC.com or Gmail. I'm not sure if a code issue or what. That being said, I'm not having an issue with other email I receive. Here's an example of what the email looks to me: This is an automated message from Geocaching You are receiving this email because this listing is on your watch list. I did a quick search and didn't see any topics about this. It's probably just me.
  11. We're not looking for forum feeds. We're looking for feeds on the gc.com side. Caches, bugs, etc.
  12. Uh, it's funny you mention that. Those were the exact same terms I attempted to use before posting my message. TAKE A LOOK at the results. Not very good results. My post made the last result on the first page. That's why I posted.
  13. I don't think it's worth all that to him (my brother). He's a premium member anyway. But the suggestion is defintely a good idea. Thanks for the info and help.
  14. I did search. I'm not sure if I picked the wrong keywords or what but there were too many irrelevant hits. I know it's not something that I would want to deal with as an organization. However if they charged a small fee like Microsoft does for xbox Live, they could monetize on it and make some extra money for their time. -- Craig
  15. I think my brother wants to change his username on geocaching.com. I doubt it's something that's done, but I thought I would check for him. He is a premium member. Does anyone know if this is possible or not? Thanks, Craig
  16. I guess I'm unusual because I like to read the logs of caches I previously visited. RSS seems like a no brainer for this. I'm sure they have a long list of features they would like to roll out. This is probably just low on the totem poll. I hope to see it one day though.
  17. Cool guys. Well it definitely sounds like something I'll need to play with. Thanks for all the enlightenment.
  18. Cool. The tut looks nice. I'll have to read through it in depth when I have a little more time. I've been playing with GPXSonar on my phone (WM5), but I have heard a few people talking about Cachemate. I'll have to look deeper into it also. Thanks for all the help.
  19. Hmm. Thanks for the respose. This might be one of those things people do different ways. Seems like a lot of steps to reach a common goal. It's becomming apparent that it's probably something I'm just going to have to play with when I get the unit. I am a premium member actually. I signed up in advance just to play with the pocket queries and GSAK. Thanks for the info. I'll try this technique when I finally get the unit. If anyone else does things a little different please share. Thanks, Craig
  20. I'm new to the geocaching world, but I have done a few with my brother. I've got a 60CSx coming that should be here soon. Actually, it's a father's day gift that I apparently spoiled. I was going to buy one and my wife had to tell me not to. Oops. Oh well. But now I have to wait. Anyway, I digress. In the meantime I've been playing with pocket queries and GSAK. I have a couple questions... 1) When I send the waypoints to the GPS from GSAK, do the icon show up as caches? Or do they show up as generic waypoints? 2) Are found caches automatically shown as open treasure chests (found) after they are sent from GSAK? 3) If I receive from the GPS to GSAK, will found caches be idendified? I'm not sure if it's taking the data from the actual GPX file or what. I can't wait to get my hands on the GPS and get out there with the family. Thanks for any help, Craig
  21. I was looking for the same feature. I'll eventually become a paid member, but that would be a nice feature to add for just the paid members.
