  1. Amen to that. I hate it when someone only writes "TNLNSL TFTC". Or when all their logs are the same cookie cutter info.

I dont know about the 6 month thing. Most all banks will offer a debit card with a checking account. The debit card works like a CC but without the credit line.

I may be wrong but i thought PayPal was now set up to pay anyone w/o an account. All you need is a CC.
  4. I dont follow what you wrote. This is what my reviewer told me.
  5. I like them. But i dont think i have seen one that actually works though.
  6. My thoughts are, just because it is a bush hide does not mean that it is typical. Most may be, but some may be different. What would be the next step? If you did this then what about: LPC attribute In tree hole attribute In hollowed log attribute Evergreen attribute I guess i would just wonder where it would end.
  7. Sometimes i stop by to pick one up. I would much rather leave one though. It encourages people to visit our caches.
  8. I recently had 2 new ideas (for me anyway) on what kind of swag to leave/ stock a cache with. We started by leaving replacement log books in baggies- with a sticker sealing them saying that this was not the logbook for the cache but a replacement for them to take and use as a notebook or to keep in their cache bag to use as a replacement one day when needed. I also had the idea to start making mini first aid packets. They will include several band aids, alcohol pads, a larger bandage, and possibly single applications of hydrocortisone cream and packets of ibuprofen/Tylenol/aspirin. (We are still debating if we will leave the analgesics.)
  9. Why not just tell the LEO what you are doing? Leaving when you see them seems would suspicious/odd to me if i was LEO.
  10. We are in the planning stages for a 8-12 stage multi. Our reviewer said there is no limit to the amount of stages but understand that it will be much harder to maintain. The 528' rule still applies to all physical locations. Virtual stages do not fall under this rule. Edit to add: i do not think there is a maximum distance. I know of one that is hundreds of miles apart.
  11. My wife had a pee test for her job last week. She tried to go but was empty. After telling me i just told her to sneeze.
  12. Couldn't you get a personal coined approved and make 10 or 20 of them yourself?
  13. That is how i feel. As long as the item is not broken or dirty, the smallest most insignificant item can mean so much to a kid. My daughter picked up 2 glass rocks at a cache recently. She was so happy. I'm sure you could buy them for less than a nickel.
  14. Pretty much. I left a new LED flashlight in package at a cache once. Later i came upon this log: I have seen the lucky penny trinkets from that cacher. They might cost a dime. They seemed to be an experienced cacher. We traded even so i am ok. But it ticks me off that in the long run someone got cheated.
  15. Went to the coords looking for a cache. I found a micro instead. I didnt know about the sizes. It took less than a minute.
  16. I never have phoned anyone and never plan to. I have wished that there was a premium type membership where you could call in for an automated voice to read cache details if something was missed. But since i switched to paperless i haven't thought of this anymore. I do wish there was a way to have a web cam image recorded without having to call "a friend".
  17. It seems kids trade much more often than adults. Forgetting about the kids altogether seems like that might disappoint some youngsters.
  18. ok, think I got it correct now. Thanks.. Almost. You need to drop it off in a cache somewhere so it doesnt get stuck around the house again.
  19. I like going to new caches for the chance that my kids get better swag and maybe a prize. Other than the swag for the kids- it doesn't matter if i am there first or not. Some folks make a big deal of FTF in their logs online and at cache. I see no point in mentioning it. I dislike the high probability of seeing other caches in the area while i am there.
  20. You cant please everyone. As long as it is within guidelines, do whatever you like.
  21. I think i understand your question. I asked the same question about a month ago and never really found an answer.
  22. (Pssst. But it is, or people wouldnt log an event more than once.) (Pssst. But it is, or people wouldn't care if an event were logged more than once.) If it didnt show numbers at all i would still care. Its is a waste of site resources and it makes an event page cluttered and currently it shows a lot more people attended than really did.
  23. Yeah. Still bad on Firefox 2.0.0.4
  24. (Pssst. But it is, or people wouldnt log an event more than once.)
  25. Keep in mind, as far i as i understand, LEO have to check on any reports/concerns that muggles make phone calls about. They may know what we are doing and even expect it- but they still have to check.
