  1. Last update 2018, I guess this is not going anywhere?
  2. I have updated my GPSMAP 67 to software version 4.70 from 4.40 released today and the issue was not resolved. During my quick test today, I have also noticed the same thing as you. 3 meters from my target (a waypoint this time) and it stopped updating the distance. Stuck at 3 this time. There is definitively something wrong with the distance to dest data field. And the compass arrow, it stops pointing to the destination as well. If you experience this problem, please send a report to garmin as well (Product.Support@garmin.com). Include your GPSMAP serial number and Software version. The more reports, the better the chance for a fix.
  3. Just noticed this thread. I have a brand new GPSMAP 67 and it has a few bugs related to geocaching. 1) Geocaching Live -> Geocaching Lists does not work, it causes the GPS to reboot. 2) There is a geocache name display problem for some .gpx files obtained from Groundspeak. The problem is worse if the .gpx or .ggz file is generated by another program like GSAK, in that case, the display problem is present for all geocaches. 3) The Compass 'Distance to dest.' field is useless when searching for geocaches (or waypoints). The distance is jumpy and when you get near the geocache, the distance drops to 0 and stays at 0 even if you move around a bit. It will stay at 0 unless you move several meters away. I had to get my old Oregon 600 out of my pocket to find any geocaches the day I was trying it out. 4) USB mass storage mode is no longer supported, only MTP mode. Some applications, like GSAK, cannot export geocaches directly to this GPS. All of the above are documented here: http://www.gpsrchive.com/Discussion/viewforum.php?f=165 I do not know if or when these will be resolved by Garmin.
  4. Good news, the following fix seem to have resolved the problem for my REGULAR PQs: - PQs that have the "Found in the last 7 days" filter checked remain empty However, for ROUTE PQs also with the "Found in the last 7 days" filter set returns zero results. Example PQ: https://www.geocaching.com/pocket/urquery.aspx?guid=7897d592-3ea0-4ec7-abb0-304997535f92 Thanks
  5. I can get results (non-zero count PQs) when I remove the ''Found in the last 7 days" option. I need this option otherwise, my PQs exceeds 1000 caches. Thanks for looking into it.
  6. Yes, sorry about that. When I read the original post from DaTechniker, I had the same symptoms with GSAK so I incorrectly assumed it was the same problem. Let me know if you need anything else from me.
  7. When will this PQs with 'zero' results issue be resolved exactly? For the last 2 days, I am getting zero results for all my REGULAR PQs. My ROUTE based PQs are running fine. Here is an example: USA-Wyoming https://www.geocaching.com/pocket/gcquery.aspx?guid=cc84a635-a100-4789-adca-c876e276fffd This PQ Ran on 2022/10/20 00:26:37 and resulted in zero waypoints. When I try to download it directly from the website, I get: Sorry, the requested Pocket Query download is no longer available. I am assuming this is because it has zero waypoints in it. Thanks
  8. Dear HQ, I really got involved with Lab Adventures when I had the possibility to download the lab adventure stages coordinates to my GPS using GSAK (and lab-api) before leaving on an geocaching trip. Having the stages names and coordinates in my GPS, it made my experience much more enjoyable plus my wife likes them. With the stages names and coordinates in one device, there is no need to switch between my GPS and my PHONE all the time, just when arriving at a lab adventure location. Also, my wife insists that I keep one hand free so she can hold it when walking around, so, I always have to decide what device to keep in my free hand. When I forget, and let go of my wife hand's to check both devices, it has some undesired side effects from my now angry wife. Please reconsider making the Lab-API accessible to GSAK again and save a marriage. Thanks.
  9. Thanks Tungstène for the input and this is what I suspected, the international characters are causing the issue. For your suggestion to change custom access code to remove the accented characters, I cannot, this is not my lab adventure. From the adventure lab builder guide: Custom access code: Choose a word that represents the overall Adventure experience. This word becomes part of the unique URL and QR code that allows you to direct players to the Adventure. Then select ‘Create Adventure.’ Ideally, the adventure lab builder should not allow names with international characters in the first place if the web server does not support them. Do you know if the developers read this forum and will be able to fix the apparent web server issue and/or the adventure lab builder issue?
  10. Thanks, but, I know what I wrote as my log entry, I was wondering why I cannot access these 2 geocaching web pages: https://labs.geocaching.com/Adventures/Details/c4d25b3c-3f7f-4fb5-9315-0950eda90286 or https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/saint-jérôme
  11. Hello, I have completed 6 adventure labs, however, I am unable to access the logs for the last one I have just completed. In my case, I go to: https://labs.geocaching.com/logs Then click on any log entry for that specific lab cache: https://labs.geocaching.com/Adventures/Details/c4d25b3c-3f7f-4fb5-9315-0950eda90286 or https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/saint-jérôme I have tried Firefox, Chrome and Edge, all giving me some sort of http errors, like: 'ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS', This is for the adventure lab titled: St-Jérôme et ses attraits Patrimoniaux. Located at: 45.776733 -74.004216 Any idea why? Thanks, Yvan
  12. Yeah, I know that, but it implies that all logs are already present in GSAK. I need to get all my logs from geocaching.com (in a pocket query for example) to be able to add them to GSAK. I know how to get 'myfinds', but not 'mylogs'... There is no way it seems... Thanks
  13. I know you can request that all logs for your finds can be done using the 'My Finds' pocket query, however, is there a was to get all my logs? (finds+dnf+write note+... etc?) Can't seem to find a way... Thanks
  14. I have the same issue. I even re-formatted and reinstalled windows XP (twice thinking I had a virus) and the problem remains. I can, usually, get the main website page, however, if I attempt to login or access any other pages, like the seek page (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/), I get the problem. Hang and eventually time-out. If I am lucky, the page shows after a while but without the images. The issue is present with Internet Explorer/Firefox and Google Chrome. Packet trace show 'syn-sent' to iexplore.exe:2312 TCP xxx:1389 c3po.Groundspeak.com:http SYN_SENT All other websites are working fine. I am not sure what to try next. Suggestion anyone? Edit: another example chrome.exe:4536 TCP xxx:1592 r4.Groundspeak.com:http SYN_SENT
  15. Is there a problem with geocaching.com today or is it just me? Could not get in this morning, can't get in now... I have some 'finds' to log... Yvan
  16. What about cache hidden in an evergreen (pine, fir what ever) attribute. I would like to be warned before I head out for one of them... Also, what about a winter only cache. I have installed a few caches that are only available in winter because of the snow... Thanks for considering...
  17. Hello, When I placed my first cache, it was rejected because it was too close to another one by 30 ft. The other one was a mystery cache I had not solved, so, I did not know it was there. The frustrating part was not the fact that I had to go back and retrieve my cache, the frustrating part was that I was not able to find the mystery cache... Is there a way to check if a place I intend to hide a cache is 'available' before I leave home? Thanks.
  18. I too have the now famous 'wont start' problem with mapsend topo canada on my laptop. Works fine on my desktop. I called magellan support and was told that I can only have one copy installed, the software 'knows' it has been installed somewhere else (right!!!). They suggested I purchase another copy for my laptop and they would not admit they have a problem. Anyway, I have started my laptop in 'safe' mode as per suggested in other posts and it now works, however, I am looking for a more permanent solution, anybody has one? Magellan support says 1.00e is the latest version, however, google shows 1.00g might be available. I am wondering is anyone has anything higher than 1.00e installed, and if so, does it work properly... Thanks for any suggestions...
  19. I too need to send my Explorist 500 in to get repaired. Same story as above, I called last Monday and was told to call back in a few days. I called again this morning and was told to call back in the afternoon. I called in the afternoon and was told that a supervisor would call me back in 2-3 hours... Still waiting (12hrs later)...
  20. Newbie question. Just picked up a TB and it's goal has been reached. What should I do with it - just drop it somewhere else and let it wonder around? Just wondering...
