  2. that pesty micro is #1 on my filtered list....unless someone hides one closer.
  3. 500, that some serious searching..Congrats.....
  4. thanks for the Good word.... Peter's Mountain Vista is a nice cache, and not as hard as people think it is.... as least it felt that way to me....3 hours total time, up and down.
  5. Congrats on your first 100.......I'n sure that the next 100 won't be nearly as bad....
  6. The event counts ONE, and there's 3 there, that are within reasonable walking distance....that allows me 2 more, I will be avoiding that new park and grab in Danville. Which I think I know where it's at....I looked abit on my way home sunday....but I didn't have the coords in my PDA or GPS, so I could only guess. Still it's a Micro!!!!!! I don't know what Holth's micros look like, and it could of been anywhere....... if this works out fine...I will be trying Peter's Vista on Sunday!!!!! If anyone wants to Join me!!!! I'm going to try and start from the parking lot for the AT there at Routes 147/322 intersection at 11am.(maybe 12 noon)
  7. How many caches are in the immediate area??? I want to try and do this Peter's Mountain Vista for my 100th.... I'm at 93 finds....so I can do up to 5 finds while I'm there.....
  8. I see they didn't touch Buttzville, NJ. The mystery continues. Buttzville NJ, is named for the family, that owned a good portion of that region. The Butz Family cemetery is nearby. I can say that I belong to this family.....
  9. if you want to do the "bridges of Madison County" you're too late.... Some crazy burned it down a few years back.... AS for the World's longest Covered Bridge, I made a special trip to photograph it one year.... New Brunswick is really nice in the Fall!!!!
  10. Norry Tourist Cahce #3 is also a Covered bridge..... But finding it is a trick in itself!!! Just for the record....PA has more Covered Bridges, than New Hampshire and Vermont Combined. And if you want to see the Worlds LONGEST's Covered bridge, it's up in New Brunswick, about 20 miles from Houlton Me.
  11. I want to say, SIGN ME UP!!!, but I don't see a date. is it for this Saturday???or a later date? Geo-Packrat!!!!

  13. Since I was going to be driving the dirt forest roads of Bald Eagle State Forest, in scouting for a Multi-cache, I figured I thorw in some containers for Blueberries!!! HELLO>>>>>>>>>>>> Can you say GREEN!, and TINY! I would say it's going to be close to a month before these babies are ready.....And I was looking forward to Fresh Blueberries. OH Well, By the time this cache(Shake, Rattle and Roll ) gets approved the BlueBerries should be ripe, and that will give you folks another reason to do the cache.
  14. I am going to move the "center" for this series to the Harrisburg 17101 Zipcode! And Guess what, No changes...the loneliest caches are Still the same!
  15. Not your Treasure Island, has been removed from the list.... The other 7 still have yet to be found!
  16. Congrats you two......good luck on you new cache region.
  17. Before I write this up for a forum that I'm a member of, I'm going to submit to the general Northeast group. Susquehanna River Valley Lonesome cache list. (centered at Sunbury, Pa,currently using a 50 mile radius) River Island Cache........................................last found May 25 2002 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...17-f56ef6232d61 Isle Swatara................................................Last Found June 8 2002 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...9a-c2787ef30be2 Summer FUN.............................................. last Found August 6 2002 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...eb-6b7bf7de5101 (Not Your) Treasure Island........................... 18. The Extras that a Premium membership bring are inconsequential, if you don't use them. but that's not the reason I'm replying.... Please do not pull your 4 caches....they are an oasis in the desert, that hopefully will encourage others to build on your base. in my area, when I started, there were only 4 caches within 20 mile radius, now there are about 25. Half of them are mine....but it's growing...you just have to give it time....
  19. I have found that PQ number 41984 is giving me random Caches from various geographical regions. since this is a file I don't use alot I don't know how long it's been acting up. But Last week's PQ for this file gave me 300 caches from near TitusVille Fl. This week's file gave me 500 caches just southeast of Great Salt Lake in Utah! it'll be interesting to see what it's going to give me next.... BTW this file is to give me all the caches I found., which is less than 100 right now, all in PA
  20. I need to find my photos of a camaro that hit about 6 or those cement poles that are placed in front of Phonebooths to protect them, after that the car 'bounced" off them and went under an 18wheeler. that was parked in the rest area. The Drive of the truck was asleep and never heard a thing until the cops woke him up by banging on the door. The cops figure the camaro was doing well over 100mph when it hit the poles... BTW...the 2 guys in the camaro...crawled out with out a scratch!!! yeh they were drunkl!
  21. nt sure how lnog this link will remain active, the Shamokin NewItem But it's a well written article.
  22. Bump BUmp BUmp I want to do this, just me, I can park my blazer on 850, not quite planning on staying over night, but I can.... add me to email geo-packrat
  23. I stopped into my district office to today, and they confirmed that the BAN is in effect, and that it's state wide.... he said that it comes from ABOVE, and maybe writing the office of Land management to have they adopt the DCNR or similiar policy may have some benefit to us. Their hands are tied in this manner Robert Geo-packrat
  24. I have a Travel Bug showing in my Inventory.....but it's completed it goal a while back. Is there a Place where we can "drop" bugs that have completed their Goal???? That way the bug will no longer show as being in "my inventory".
  25. If those who keep hearing about paperless caching, and looking to buy a PDA, check the Store for Palm PDA's Palm Zire Open Box this is there cheapest PDA and it's a refubished UNIT... since you're getting it Direct from Palm, I feel you can't go wrong.... Palm Software requires Spinner and Plucker, This is just an option....but for $45 it's hard to beat....
