+Cacheinspector12
I would like to hear from any "well seasoned" Garmin e Trex Summit users that may be able to help this rookie I know (ME). The question I have is: Is it possible to manually enter in the corodinates to a geocache or other location to the navigation screen where there is not a waypoint established yet and have the unit guide me there? I purchased my unit intending to use it for hiking before I learned about geocaching, I am now "infected" and can't quit geoing, though I still go hiking. Thanks. billycavalry@cs.com Quote Link to comment
+threelanes
If I understand your question correctly, here are the steps that I use: Page to the Menu screen, Scroll up to Mark and enter, this creates a new waypoint for your current location and assigns the next numerical number as the name, Scroll down to the coordinates and enter, this allows you to edit for the location that you want to go (new geocache), you can then scroll up and change the waypoint name if you want and even the icon. Once you're happy, select OK. Now select the new waypoint and select GOTO. That's all there is to it. Hope this is enough detail. Tom Quote Link to comment
